Guess they could do the game Monday or Tuesday too?

The worst part of a hurricane is not the potential loss of life and property but they retarded jokes and speculation from the weather experts on this website.

Not even close. I live in Orlando not far from the theme parks and didn’t lose power for a second during Irma or Ian. Power flickered a little during Irma but never went out.
One advantage with Florida is a lot of the infrastructure isn’t 30, 50 or 100 years old. For most residential neighborhoods the power lines are buried into the ground. I know they are in my community. The places that tend to lose power are the older areas near Downtown Orlando as well as Winter Garden. Those areas have a lot of above ground power lines. Even then though it’s typically only a few days.

I tried explaining this to that guy. I lived in Orlando during Charley, Frances and Jeanne.

LSU fans watching the weather for opening week. a tradition unlike any other.

Shouldn’t affect the game since it’s on Sunday, but I wonder how it’ll affect and “distract” FSU. They’ll probably miss out on at least one day of practice if not more this week and if the storm does move west, Tallahassee could have power outage issues if the winds are strong. Can’t remember the last time Tallahassee had to deal with the brunt of a storm.

Would even out us being forced to sit Maason
Posted on 8/28/23 at 11:07 am to WacoTiger
I think it will depend on the damage on whether or not that game gets played Sunday. If they can't get the power grid back up then the game gets rescheduled. Honestly, rescheduling that game would benefit us. We would have Maason Smith back, and our secondary would be in mid season shape at that point.

It shouldn't but if this storms tracks a little more to the southeast, Orlando will get the brunt of the storm. Who knows what damage will be done to the stadium and the area. We all know that anything can happen with these things.

I can't see this game being rescheduled. Just for the hell of conversation, I'm guessing it's too late to move this game?

Valid points. It’s irresponsible at this point to say everything will be fine. Depends ultimately on the exact track and if Orlando gets the brunt impact

It’s a Sunday game; wake up.

Orlando is not in Louisiana

What does these even mean? If this storm moves a little more to the southeast, Orlando will be heavily effected. Y'all crazy just brushing this off y'all shoulders like this potentially won't be something that could impact this game.

Yeah all qualifiers "that" goes into predicting where a Hurricane will hit and the potential damage from it. Good lawd!

This storm is serious guys…with the heat and all- now predicted a three
Game played or not- this storm will be no joke…will intensify quickly

I swear some of you act like this is both your first football season and first hurricane.
As of now Orlando won’t be impacted significantly enough to warrant serious conversation about altering the game. Could that change? Sure, it could change. It could also end up completely missing Orlando altogether.
The wishcast/doomcast crowd is exhausting
