They weren’t “our players”, they were never on the LSU roster. Sure it’s inconsistent but we got to move on. Next year TC will be gone, the 5 year rule will be behind us and OM will hope to stay relevant.

This is true and I agree. But why should we ignore that LSU got threatened with SEC expulsion for simply wanting to sign two players who under current rules are absolutely eligible, yet Ole Miss without any issue got a local judge to grant a 6th year to a 24 year old who’s been playing since 2021 and should be in the NFL?
I know there’s nothing we can do about it but we don’t have to do gleefully accept this injustice. Does anyone think the SEC would’ve allowed lsu to do what ole miss did?

What’s stopping a Mississippi judge from granting Chambliss a 7th year? A local judge will never rule against it.

All im saying is that he's missing this year because of a medial condition now.

Im talking about precedent. If Chambliss can get an extra year for a sore throat.
Can other players across the college landscape be granted extra years for season ending injuries sustained in early season? Say games 1-4? What will the governing bodies start doing to prevent those TROs ? Will they allow them like they allowed this?
I guess my point is. Where's the line? What's the difference between a game injury and an illness caught at a gay bar from kissing other dudes.

The SEC has proven to aggressively enforce its will on LSU. It has not shown that aggressiveness towards any other conference member.
