javi sanchez has been recruiting all season .. are people denying this ?
Nope, not at all trying to deny this.
I'm saying that Javi has been given the responsibility of recruiting the position players. Grewe used to be over all of the recruiting, but now Paul Mainieri is changing that up. I think Mainieri is about to become very hands on with the recruiting, where as he had let Grewe handle those things in the past. That is Paul Mainieri's reasoning for letting Grewe go, the lack of talent on this team.
Not saying Mainieri is right or not, but he let Grewe head up the recruiting and we can now see that we are woefully undermanned in the batting lineup.

I would replaced the batting coach and given him one more shot.
Let's be more specific. I would replace the "batting" coach with a "hitting" coach. Seems like we don't have a hitting coach.

I doubt the kid is cut. Don't they encourage some kids to transfer if they won't get any signifigant playing time? I'd imagine that's what PM is doing. I never heard of someone getting cut that was on scholarship.

He definitely does it, one of my friends was cut from the team.

Yeah but this kid is a former starting Senior. Were most of them upperclassmen or bench sitting transfers?

JT Wise wasn't, but was a big time contributor, Robert Lara played alot

He had other issues besides on the field issues. The kid was a problem.

Almost every Div I baseball coach does it. We just don't hear about it like we do with LSU.
It's true of every college sport, not just baseball.

his first rounds of cuts were all younger guys he didnt see fit to play at LSU and 5 or so went on to be pretty damn good players.

Lara I believe was also struggling worse than Watkins was at the plate. It's not until he transferred on over that he improved.
