Smart move by him. You’ve got to know who your coach is before committing to play for him.

No offense to Trevonte but if he decommitted because he got tired of waiting on a coach, then bye. We have to hire the right coach. A coach will have endlessly more impact than any recruit we lose in the process.

I think they all thought it was Riley. Walker Howard was reported saying last night he was telling people it was Riley along with a lot of other recruits they are probably tired of waiting

It’s an example of the uncertainty surrounding our coaching hire causing issues in recruiting. In this case, other schools hiring their guys quickly and not doing the dance we’re doing now.

So, he had to decommit before even seeing who the new coach is going to be? GTFO

Even if we recover strong its a let down for sure. Sounds like they're in the same boat as us fans. It's disappointing

Waiting around just to hire Bill O'Brien seems pretty questionable...

But didn’t he hear Woodward when he said, “You’ll love it”?

Honestly more players should do this. There are some who commit to a SCHOOL, and some who commit to a PROGRAM or STAFF. There is nothing wrong with that. He can always recommit later if it’s a good fit. People get too butthurt about these kids making the right decisions for themselves and their family and their opportunity to develop into a pro football talent.

It's gonna happen anyway no matter how long we take. Kids have been jumping ship since the announcement O was done. Recruiting is relationships and for now we have none. Only name public that makes any huge dent in recruiting right away is Fisher, maybe Kiffin. No one else is pulling these elite kids when they've had no part of any of their recruitments. We have to hope the new coach can lock down many of the state kids and swing with the rest hoping to catch a big one or 2. If not Fisher or Kiffin. Stoops, BoB, Campbell, Aranda, Rhule aren't coming in and hitting a Homer with this class.

That is the correct viewpoint. No recruit, or class,is as important as the HC hire.

No the kid isn’t getting left at the alter like you know who so he’s bouncing to find a better opportunity. I just wished he worked in our Athletic program.

Yeah we've lost a few, but Actually in my opinion we have done very well considering the circumstances. He was committed for how long? Even after O was fired. But jumps ship now. A lot of these commits are sitting on TD just like us. It' a let down

Sounds like Faulk isn't being retained.

Commit, decommit…these players can change their mind at anytime for any reason.

We get a great coach, we’ll get commits a plenty.
