TR also showed LSU a ton of respect by saying the LSU defense is the best and most physical he has ever faced and they would bring it if they play again. Izzy is trying to stir it up.

Maybe the opponents' talent provided for not "giving it your best shot." Each team is extremely talented, which results in opponents' struggling.

I'm not opposed to Bama being in the NC game, but why is not giving your best shot against the number 1 team a) something to be bragging about, or b) a reason to be given a spot in the NC game?

Bama pushing this hard for a re-match just comes across like a 5 mile marathon runner finishing second and saying "But I wasn't ready at the gun!".

Richardson makes the perfect point against a rematch. Bama is one of only thirteen teams out of the 120 teams in the FBS that had a "shot" at LSU this season. Bama squandered their shot, so they deserve another one?

Was it their second best shot, or maybe third? Life is all about opportunities, Alabama had theirs, and gave their best shot that day. To say otherwise is to admit you were not trying, and if that is the case then you do not deserve another opportunity.
