LINK

Posted 18 PPG 7 APG 3 RPG and nearly 2 steals per game in route to winning the award. LSU now has an NBA ROTY (Ben Simmons) and GLeague ROTY (Waters) in the last 5 years. Really hope Tre gets to stick with an NBA team. The challenge for shorter guys hoping to make it in the NBA is always proving they can be assets on defense and Tre has shown he can he a solid defender at the pro level. Cant help but wonder too what this year's team could have done with Waters and Naz Reid.

Well deserved, his highlight film from this past season was insane.

Definitely miss seeing him play.

Hard to imagine what he would’ve been like a few inches taller

So the dude wins ROTY and you decide to short shame him, sad.

Congrats to Waters, he’s the man regardless how tall he is.

2 G-League ROY awards. Blakeney won it 2 years ago. So LSU has had 2 of the last 3 in that league.

That was a pretty awesome highlight video. Just like in college, he is impossible to stay in front of and keep out of the lane.

His height isn't a detriment to his offense that's for sure, it's the defense. he can't switch onto SF's, much less post players, but neither can Curry.

With Tacko, they can run zone. Why would he switch on post players?

This year would have been great with the two, wouldn’t have mattered in the long run because the tournament was cancelled

Wasn’t there a poster who insisted Waters wasn’t very good the whole time he was here?

He probably wouldn't have become the player he is today. His size (or lack thereof) forced him to become the incredibly savvy player he is now. When you are smaller than your competition you have to find other ways to compete

My stance was 65% of the time he was meh. Not the whole time. Not me.

Dude literally insane highlight film. That’s like a careers worth of pass highlights for some players. Will be fun to watch if he gets a legitimate shot in the league. Has to be able to knock down 3 at high percentage though.

Inconsistent player with a lot of highs & lows. More lows, but his highs standout because he had some flash.
