Why do people need to be warned about being fined/cited/arrested for littering? It's a fricking law. So now you have to be warned not to break a widely known law before people can charge for breaking it?

God you people crack me up sometimes.

My point is that the stupid asses that bitch about not being warned are taken care of...it's a small courtesy before the hammer comes down hard...

Again, littering is completely illegal so I am not seeing your point. That's like giving someone a warning after stopping them for a DUI. You know its illegal, so why the frick do you need a warning?

If they want to bitch about a warning, let them. Just tell them, "You fricking know littering is illegal, so shut the frick up".

It's not the same as a DUI..clearly...it gives LSU a chance to play the nice guy before bringing down the fire...that's all I'm saying..I know it's illegal...

Why do these people deserve to be treated nicely? That's my point. This is my problem with this type of coddling. There is no warning. It will have a stronger effect that way.

LSU fans are allowed to drink on campus despite it technically being against campus policy. They are already getting enough leeway with that, so pardon me if I don't give a rats arse about warning them about being held accountable for breaking laws.

Right. DUI laws are regularly enforced. It shouldn't be a shock to anyone when they get one. I can't say I've ever heard of anyone getting a ticket for littering at a tailgate, maybe it happens and I don't know about it. I just think that LSU might not want to totally piss a lot of people off by strictly enforcing a law/rule that hasn't been in the past.

ETA: Also, I think usually a warning will get a lot of things done towards cleaning up that week and also reduce the amount of work required.

Not a bad idea...give warning first so no one can bitch that they were never warned...that might actually work...

Only a certified idiot would need a warning. You don't have to be warned not to take a shite in your neighbors living room do you?

I feel your anger...it disgusts me too...it benefits LSU to give one weeks warning...PR and all that...I understand we would handle it differently...

Explain to me why LSU needs to do PR on enforcing laws against morons trashing their campus again?

Anyone with any common decency would have no problem with jackasses trashing the campus getting cited or even arrested. PERIOD.

There is absolutely no reason to give a warning to people like that.

If you are talking about something like drinking on campus? Yes, then a warning is fine. You aren't trashing the campus by drinking.

I am guessing that some of these kids might be capable of that. Some of that is upbringing.

This picture is right by our tailgate, and it was the Kappa Alpha pigs and their piglets. They actually had a fair amount of stuff in their cans, but we saw some of their pledges intentionally kicking over all the cans on the Parade Grounds after the game as we were walking up. This is every weekend from these kids, who obviously weren't raised very well. I will be sending Alleva and the Dean of Men an e-mail this week telling them what I think of these animals.

Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity?

I urge everyone else to do the same too

This is not news. LSU produces an astonishing amount of trash on gameday. They have contracts with local prisons to clean it up.

Mud-I'm on it.

How'd the pig come out? Hearing you had a keg of PBR was almost enough to drag me through the rain. PBR and massive amounts of pork...hmmm.

Exactly. Those needing a warning may also be someone with something to fear. These kids were not raised right, they have no respect for other peoples values. No mercy.

Is it just the parade ground that get bad? I tailgate by the law school and everyone always seems to do well cleaning up. Same with other areas I've seen. It it just all the fraternity kids that frick everything up?

This really isn't an issue. LSU has this under control.

If there is an issue, it is that LSU uses unpaid prison labor to clean it up. But that is a whole other topic, really, that I don't feel like getting into.

The parade ground is the worst. The area around the mounds gets pretty bad. The mounds themselves generally stay pretty clean. The RV lot gets bad.
