This picture is right by our tailgate, and it was the Kappa Alpha pigs and their piglets.
I dont know which frat it was, but it was a frat. We were tailgating in the area.

If it's the queer frats, then it's LSU admins problem...
F-ing frats! Bunch of dorks.

I do not think that would faze them one bit. They would just send the pledges out to do it and go on their trashing ways.
True.
But charters can get revoked after multiple violations.

on the way out from the MSU game, I witnessed on three different occasions Moo State fans kicking over recycling bins and trash cans, kicking the trash all over the place. just sad to see.
Not saying that's what happened last night, but it was pretty awful.

Why is it LSU's responsibility to pick up people's trash. When you go to the park, they only have a limited number of waste cans, so do you excuse trashing the park because of lack of trash cans?
Bring your own fricking garbage cans and haul your own God Damn trash you lazy bums. It's really pitiful that you guys are bitching about not enough trashcans. PITIFUL.

Every WVU fan we ran into, and it was a lot, were very classy. This was clearly LSU "fans" starched white shirt and tie and all pledge pigs that kicked over all the cans while we yelled at them. If the rest of our gang had made it back at that point there would have been a pretty good rumble.

Exactly.
Folks can pack everything conceivable...but a couple freaking Heftys is just too damn much to pack out there.

Heres my idea: Next weekend send out extra law enforcement looking for the worst offenders and warn them that citations will be issued the next week for littering. The next week write tickets to people being flagrant assholes. If no one takes responsibility at a certain spot, start taking down the tents, someone will step up.

Not a bad idea...give warning first so no one can bitch that they were never warned...that might actually work...

You can thank all the queer arse frat boys for the mess in that picture. We tailgate right in that area and are fairly clean, but there's always a couple frat tents around and they leave a terrible mess every week.
Entitlement attitude of frat figs

Front-page article in the Reveille. There's your warning.

A lot of people are saying its fraternities that are doing a lot of it, but there are thousands of people out there that aren't students.

these pics dont accurately portray every where on campus
and there were two different groups of kids going by and kicking trashcans over
then after the game there were people going around knocking cans over and getting the aluminum cans out of them

True, but it does take care of a lot of the trouble makers. I'd say prominent signage all over campus on gameday would do the trick as well, and keep police officers from having to babysit.

Why do people need to be warned about being fined/cited/arrested for littering? It's a fricking law. So now you have to be warned not to break a widely known law before people can charge for breaking it?
God you people crack me up sometimes.

Yeah, I think the student government should be able to do something useful in this situation as well. The thinking behind my idea was that it would only really be 2 weeks of much extra effort by the police. I think people would get the message quickly.
As far as people wandering around campus kicking over cans, surely that is a situation where bike cops could be very useful for getting around campus.
Posted on 9/26/10 at 9:13 pm to UnclassyStudent
this would require the cops to do something period.
which wont happen
