no it's not ok, I tailgate pretty close to there and its not even close to like that where we are.
I hate trashy places/people, but bottom line is when you get that many people in one spot its going to happen.
And yes, it being all gone in a matter of hours after the game makes it not as bad as some of you portray it.

Can't say who did or who didn't do this, but I can say that the lot that I tailgate in was as clean as could be when we left...I actually noticed as we drove out that I didn't see a single tailgate spot that hadn't bagged up their trash....kinda suprised me, really...

If people would clean up after themselves a little bit, LSU would keep things the way they are.
Look for enforcement of tents over 10'x10' as well. Its in the tailgating handbook but look for it to be enforced.
Trashy people like this are just going to ruin the full LSU tailgating experience for the rest of us responsible tailgaters.

having adequate numbers of trash cans would help......
a friend of mine talked about willing to pay for their tailgate spot as long as it was reserved....it may be time for something like that....and for the people in charge of trash collection to put some big dumpsters in strategic places as well.....

Our tailgating group has been on the north side of parade grounds for years and the frats have invaded us the last few. They make messes like this every week. Not to mention things go missing from our tailgate from time to time

LSU just needs to start a campaign about it like they did with the save the oaks deal few yrs ago.

Butch that has been talked about as well but the trash contract is 18K per game and thats 8 trucks.
I suggested maybe some of the temporary home construction curb pickup containers placed every 100 yds or so. New trash cans have arrived but not nearly enough. However, LSU athletics is very reluctant to spend anymore money on trash cans, etc... With budget cuts the university is facing, LSU athletics is being forced to cover more and more costs and contribute more back to the university
Beer vendors offered LSU thousands of additional trash cans for tailgating but LSU refused because of the beer logo on the cans
