Dude stepped up big time last night, what a gutsy performance from #0. Especially with KJ and Adam combining for only 15. Hope that game last night gave him some extra confidence moving forward.

Hannibal came out of nowhere, he was great. Also hope Adam Miller hitting those clutch free throws and also being very involved emotionally will help him get his stroke back.
Big appreciation to Fountain as well. He was a beast.

On that first drive to the basket with a few minutes left, I sat up in my chair, surprised he can move that quick for a yoked dude.

I don't think he has ever lacked confidence. What he has always lacked is a shot. IMO, he's LSU's most explosive athlete. He brings a ton of energy off the bench. The problem is defenses can sag off on him because he is a bad shooter.
Last night was the PERFECT game for him. First, Arkansas likes to extend their defense to create turnovers. That's what they excel at. Second, the refs swallowed the whistle most of the game. That was as physical a game as you will see with relatively few fouls. One look at Hannibal and you can tell he doesn't mind a physical game.
He didn't have to shoot last night because Arkansas didn't make him. When they extended their ball pressure (which is their MO), William just simply set a high screen and opened a lane for Hannibal to attack. He has a tremendous first step so all he needed was a little space. One he got it, Arkansas wasn't particularly eager to step in front of what was essentially a strong safety flying to the goal.
I doubt he has a game THAT good the rest of the season. But when you get to SEC play you need SEC athletes. He's one.

If he could get a consistent jump shot he reminds me a lot of how Naji Marshall plays for the pelicans.
