So here's the thing - every little tidbit of sick bullshite you just vomited out could be true, and it still wouldn't matter.

He shared the video without her consent.

ETA: Even if he didn't share the video, you cannot commit a sexual crime to defend yourself from potential future accusations of a different sexual crime.

If this is true (and you should probably cite your sauces if making that claim), it probably doesn’t matter anyway under the law.
quote:

A. Video voyeurism is any of the following:
(1) The use of any camera, videotape, photo-optical, photo-electric, or any other image recording device, or an unmanned aircraft system equipped with any camera, videotape, photo-optical, photo-electric, or any other image recording device, for the purpose of observing, viewing, photographing, filming, or videotaping a person where that person has not consented to the specific instance of observing, viewing, photographing, filming, or videotaping and either:

In fact, if he didn’t have permission the first time it might actually make it worse for him.

Also, he said he was just protecting himself. With the #metoo money grab, I can understand why somebody would want a tape as insurance.

I can understand why someone might consider it, but it’s still illegal. Committing a sex crime to prevent someone from accusing you of a sex crime isn’t very smart.

#1 is a real issue that will likely determine his guilt or innocence. However, as I noted above, her knowledge of (or even consent to) previous filming does not appear to protect him under the law.

#2 is not all that relevant to his status on the team, as I see it. It won’t be a defense in court. If he’s convicted he will have to register as a sex offender and I sincerely doubt he’ll be allowed to remain on the team.

That said, if he can get the charges reduced or dropped, possibly by working it out with the victim or by showing that she consented, I can see a path back to the field. But I wouldn’t expect that to happen before the season starts. I think fans should probably assume he’s not going to play this year unless/until we hear otherwise. Just my opinion though.

Do we know he shared the video without her consent?

The original report was that she found it on his laptop…

Not challenging your info, asking a question.

I’m pretty sure that was a situation where one person speculated that he probably showed it to someone else, someone else agreed, then others started running with it as fact.

I have not seen any legitimate source report that. I don’t believe I’ve even seen anyone who claims to be “in the know” report it.

It may turn out to be true but I wouldn’t throw it out there as a fact based on posts from TD randos (much like the other guy shouldn’t throw the shite about her already knowing he videoed her previously, the thing about “protecting himself,” etc. as facts). IMHO, anyhow.

This is the rant. Say something the rantards want to believe and it will be passed around as absolute fact. Say something they don't want to believe, and you will be heavily criticized. That's just the way things work in the minds of simple people.

She said he did it before and she told him to stop and not do it again. So this dumbass HID IT IN A frickING CLOCK THE VERY DEFINITION OF CONCEALING. Then he showed people. Depending on the part of her body that was shown could mean a VERY VERY serious charge see number 3.

.(1) Except as provided in Paragraphs (3) and (4) of this Subsection, whoever commits the crime of video voyeurism shall, upon a first conviction thereof, be fined not more than two thousand dollars or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not more than two years, or both.

(2) On a second or subsequent conviction, the offender shall be fined not more than two thousand dollars and imprisoned at hard labor for not less than six months nor more than three years without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

(3) Whoever commits the crime of video voyeurism when the observing, viewing, photographing, filming, or videotaping is of any vaginal or anal sexual intercourse, actual or simulated sexual intercourse, masturbation, any portion of the female breast below the top of the areola or of any portion of the pubic hair, anus, cleft of the buttocks, vulva, or genitals shall be fined not more than ten thousand dollars and be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than one year or more than five years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

If that’s the case, you’re arguing that he committed a felony twice. That’s not much of a defense…
