Touching moment before the game with players and special little fan

I noticed this little fellow at the Thursday night game and I'm guessing that he is from the BR area as he appeared to be quite the crowd favorite. He's around 10 or so and my guess is he has some sort of affliction. Nonetheless, he is one of the most enthusiastic people at the tourney.
Before getting to the first base side dugout today, the LSU players all came down the steps from the parking lot and walked down the concourse to the row behind their dugout. There to greet them at the aisle was this little fellow. Every player greeted him, shook his and and or hugged him. He just beamed.
Now,I'm sure most teams in some sport have similar fans. Nonetheless, I was moved by our players' gesture with the little guy. Heckuva a team and some really good guys.

Our guys are awesome. Seems like Paul always has a team loaded with guys that have outstanding character. Glad to be a Tiger Baseball fan!

I have always heard that a team takes on the personality of their coach. Case in point, Augie Garrido & Texas, John Cohen & Miss St. These players take on the disgusting personality of their coach.
Then on the other hand, you have Paul Mainieri and LSU. Our players take on his respectful personality.

You're correct.......most teams probably have a similar story. Many college teams likely have something like this going on in the backstory of their year. An know what? I literally couldn't care less how common or uncommon it is.
Somewhere tonight, there's a young Tiger fan that went to bed with a smile on his face, knowing "his team" is playing for a championship tomorrow. And there's a group of older kids, born with an athletic advantage, 11.7 of which get to go to school tuition free because they play baseball really well, that made a physically disadvantaged kids day by high fiving him, hugging him, talking to him, or otherwise "taking the time".
I never get tired of hearing about our players doing things like that.
