Total Rampant speculation...

I heard a so-called "expert" on ESPN say that Alabama's loss was bad for Georgia because now Georgia has to "win the SEC Championship game in order to get into the playoff". As if there was a realistic scenario where UGA could lose in Atlanta and still get in.
I think the guy thought UGA was undefeated and that a 1 loss UGA team would be picked over a 1 loss LSU team, but not a 1 loss Alabama team.
So, let's speculate and say Alabama, LSU, and Georgia all finish with one loss. Does LSU still get in? I mean, they should be picked ahead of Bama, for sure, but that whole argument that conference champions should get preference comes into play.
Let's further speculate, and say that Auburn beats UGA and then UGA beats LSU in Atlanta. Does the committee take the 2 loss champion or the 1 loss runner up?
I just gotta say that Alabama has gotta be pulling hard for LSU to win out.
ETA: Since we're speculating, let's assume Ohio State and Clemson finish undefeated, and Oregon finishes with 1 loss.

If UGA wins the SEC with 2 losses, Bama is in.

In that scenario, For tv ratings we get in. That drives the decisions when it’s close. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Exactly.

If Georgia finishes with 1 loss, that means they will have won the SECCG over LSU. Don't see the CFP committee awarding both the SEC champ and runner-up in that situation unless Georgia is 2-3 in CFP ranking going into the game, and even then it is iffy.

A 1-loss UGA or LSU basically seals a 1-loss Bama's fate.
A 1-loss UGA gets in.
A 1-loss LSU may not get in, unless the loss is before the SECCG.

Every single one of these speculations is entirely dependent upon the other 10 or so teams that have a chance to get in. How many undefeateds at the end of the season? How many 1 loss champs? How many 1 loss non-champs?
Its impossible to know the circumstances and arguments at this point.

If you remember Oklahoma was undefeated #1 in 2003 then lost Big12 champ 35-7 to KSt. They still made the final 2. If we are in same situation we should still make final 4.

Not every one. I think it's safe to assume that if Georgia wins the SEC Title with 1 loss, they are in.
