Florida 07 was unreal but Auburn beat them the week before. I wanted to see them come into Death Valley undefeated.

Fla. 07. That was Tiger Stadium at its peak.

Close one but to me, who was present at this game, it has to be Florida 07 primarily bc of the implications and how the game transpired: defending national champs with the future Heisman winner, 4-1 vs 5-0 team in Tiger Stadium, USC losing to Stanford that night to propel us to no. 1 in America, and all the clutch 4th down conversions with Hester and the O-Line resembling the early 70s smashmouth Miami Dolphins to achieve the win. It was simply monumental and transcendent, arguably the biggest game I've ever attended in that stadium bar none.

For the people that were there, Tiger Stadium has never quite been like that before or since IMO.
LSU vs UF 97 was an awesome game and atmosphere, but your statement is inaccurate.

Florida 97 put LSU on the map nationally! Herb Tyler put the beat down on Steve Spurrier and the #1 Florida Gators!!

Fla 07.

The Hester Game

ETA I was in the student section for Fla 97. Was unreal. But, for the implications and how the game played out... 07 hands down.

Well not exactly, imo. I was there for Fla97 and USC79. LOVED BOTH, but as great as the Fla97 game was, USC79 was truly magical. It's difficult to really discribe.

I can tell you this. UGA 03 was the first time you had trouble getting a ticket outside Tiger Stadium for under face value.

I paid $40 for an East Upper Single(my wife was going sit in Law Student Section). That was 'crazy' and unheard of back then.

I also believe it was the first LSU game where more fans were outside the stadium than inside at kickoff(ESPN said this).

But my vote is 07 Fla for the hype and delivery on all fronts including Tebow's valiant effort in the loss.

2008 Alabama is highly underrated in terms of crowd noise. I've never heard a louder stadium than when LSU blocked the field goal to send game to OT if I recall correctly.

Cemented LSU as a national power and we haven't looked back since.

Tarnished by losing to Ole Miss the next week and the downward spiral in 98 & 99.
