We have to make adjustments on special teams as well.. I am wondering about everyone calling for Gamble to kickoff.. Touchbacks are our friend

Looked like shite against a bad team. Sloppy mistakes on all sides of the ball that kept cuse in the game.

11am games are always sloppy, especially on a far road trip. I am not that concerned because we got time to work these problems out.

Some fans like to bitch, it seems LSU has an inordinately high percentage of them. Most of them seem to believe the current head coach is either an idiot, or somehow doing things to intentionally make them angry.

If you step back and look at this game, you really have to be encouraged, to be honest:
Syracuse is not a top 25 team, but they are a D1 team. They have some good players. They were 3-0 and excited about that, playing a highly ranked team at home. They were starting a walkon at QB, nobody in the entire country gave them a chance. Tons of bulletin board material. LSU came out flat and unfocused, and made a lot of dumb errors. Really had trouble matching the intensity Syracuse played with, and had poor field position most of the day.

If that's not the classic recipe for an early season upset, I don't know what is. Hell, a lot of top 5 teams have gone down in similar fashion over the years; and LSU has been the spunky underdog in a couple of them.

But despite this game playing out in a bad way, LSU won comfortably. Was never REALLY threatened... we gave up a garbage TD up 34-17 with under 3 mins to go. Still could easily pushed it back to 41-24 had we wanted to.

Your questions answer-
#1 We played extremely sloppy today, and our coach has a history of having sloppy teams that can't develop a good passing game,
#2 our biggest rival has better coaches and we rarely beat them. That's our problem.. hope it answers you and your IDIOT question.

That was an intelligent post. It's very apparent you're not an LSU fan.

I hate the excuse that players and coaches weren't interested in playing.

1. You practice and prepare year round for a hand full of games. I don't ever remember stepping on a FB field where I would rather be somewhere else.

2. Athletes are competitors. They hate losing at anything.

3. Even if you came into the game "uninterested" your "interest" would be peaked if you went into the dressing room at the half with a 7-3 lead.

Winning National Championships spoils you. I am guilty of it. Winning sloppy is not fun to watch especially if you're infinitely more talented than the team you're playing. Covering the spread should have been a minimum for LSU in this game with a 5th string QB starting. Fans who follow the team closely have high expectations and just winning is not enough unless it's an SEC team (outside of Vandy). This was a bad performance overall (excluding LF) as a team for LSU.

need short yardage passing game.

After last weeks Auburn win, people bitched about LSU only running short yardage passing plays. Now this week, people are gonna bitch because LSU didn't run enough short yardage pass plays.

Then find another one that you can bless with all your knowledge. You're not helping the problem by getting on here and pissing and moaning about something you have no control over......kind of like the negas pissing about the lack of the passing game.....nothing we can do about it..

If you're embarrassed by what a bunch of strangers on an internet chat room say about the Tigers....you've got bigger problems than worrying about our "miserable" fan base.
