Howard is pissed that someone else has a Heisman pose that can be used on highlights now.
PP got LSU and his Heisman campaign on the map.

Peterson did exactly the right thing. He put it out there early in a decently big game after a great play. Now everyone is going to be paying attention to him. If he would have done it later in the season, people would notice, but then they would be like "Yeah, but what else has he done?"
Also, as Choctaw pointed out, the celebration penalty didn't exist (or wasn't as strict) in Desmond's day. I doubt he would have struck the pose so nonchalantly had it meant Ohio St. would get incredible field position on their next drive.

If he did it for a reason (other than having fun), it was done at the best possible time. The Heisman is all political and he had to get his name in the hat earlier in the season (especially since he is a defensive player-at least for now).

Hey, at least they're talking about him--the nation needs to know that PP should at least get some mention as a Heisman possibility.
