I am not saying that Jarrett Lee is a good quarterback, but I thought the booing made him perform worse. I felt sorry for him. It looked like he was choking on the pressure the crowd was placing him under. I think getting players to perform well is just as much a mental thing as it is preparation and talent. With that being said, we all know the kid cannot handle pressure well so why do we insist on putting more pressure on him.

Obviously A you couldn't pay me to have B be my QB. Who is that?
Those are Jefferson's and Lee's stats in SEC play respectively.

He had a chance to silence his critics. He had a very, very bad game. Jefferson had a bad game against Florida. It is less excusable to have that bad a game as Lee did against Tech.
I like all of our quarterbacks. I want all of them to develop and for LSU to have "too many" good QBs for 2010.

While I'm sure Lee is a fine young man, and I do wish him well, he should not see the field ....

yeah but he surely isnt a playmaker either..lsu would have had a better night with sheppard playing qb the whole game

He had a TD and ZERO turnovers. He protected the ball. Those of you saying he hasnt improved at all, isnt that an improvement? He also didnt just take the sack, he threw the ball away when necessary. No who didnt light the sky up and throw for 300 but he didnt give the other team the ball or spot the other team 7 points which is an improvement from last season. He did nothing to cost us the game but didnt do much to help win it. Shouldnt that be the correct analysis from this game?

Again, you could say this is true about JJ as well. Especially in the UF and Bama games.

Jefferson played pretty well against Bama...

Lee throws balls after his receivers are open, and after they make their cuts. ITS TOO LATE! he never throws a ball that is half way there when the cuts are made like he should. These late throws either get the receiver KILLED, or give the DB time to knock it down or pick it off. It is absolutely horrible!!!!!!

so you are saying that Jarett Lee is worse than Marcus Randall?

while i normally defend Lee He was one quick pick six that was dropped by Tech from losing that game. I don't think he has changed much and i am off the Lee bandwagon.

Once again, this could be talking about JJ.
Look, Lee showed he's a horrible QB. But, you don't prove that JJ is much better when you say that Lee sucks for doing something that JJ does every game also.
Instead, you should be talking about how he throws the ball in the ground on screen passes. Or, how he throws the ball out of bounds when he could run for a first down. Or, how extremely inaccurate his passes were. There are plenty of things that Lee does very poorly that warrant him not playing.
But, JJ is guilty at a ton of the stuff ya'll are cracking on Lee for in this thread.

The kid might be the worst QB to every step under center for LSU.
Brian Sparacino edges Lee out, but by just a hair.

agree. and he did very little to win the game also.
