1. 2003 National Championship
2. 2007 National Championship
3. 2000 triple-overtime victory over Tennessee
4. 1982 oranges flying in victory over Florida State.
5. 1972 Bert Jones to Davis to beat Ole Miss in last second

P.S. I was at the Earthquake game. It was one of the worst nights ever--due to fight with my date. The play was great, but the rest was forgettable.

That's for you Tangy. Oh, by the way, how did that Texas pick in the CWS work out for ya?

I never falsely cliamed that there was no movement, unlike MANY LSU fans claim there was no real facemack.

I picked LSU and UT to make it to the finals and UT to win. I am glad LSU won, I hate UT with a passion.

Try again.

1. 10/11/97 28-14 over #1 flordia i watched this game at my dads work while he worked on his duck hunting atv, i was running around like crazy back and forth all game, then moday at school i did like most of you and swore i was there and touched a goal post as they went up.
2. 2003 National Championship i never really thought i would see this in my life time, what a great season, to beat stupid stoops made it better.
3. 9/16/95 LSU beats #5 Auburn in Dinardo's first home game. "The Magic Is Back!" no tv for this game, so i was glued to my radio listing to hawthorn make the call, troy twilly with the pick in the end zone as time runs out.
4. 9/30/00. LSU beats Tennessee in the first overtime game in Tiger Stadium history i was a j booty fan till this game. rohan and j reed were BEAST!!
5.9/20/97 LSU loses to Auburn by 3 after Cecil Collins goes for 232 and everyone forgets that Rondell Mealey (the most underrated back ever at LSU) had 129. that was my first ever time in tiger stadium. my uncle is billy cannons good friend and billy gave my aunt his two press box tickets. he signed a football for me before the game that says "if you lose to auburn, no more tickets for you". we lost, and he has never given me any more tickets, but i have been hooked ever since.

Get real, you were trying to set the LSU guy up so you can make your same stupid argument about the facemask. You now know the truth yet you continue with your dumb crap. I just like to let some of the younger fans see what really happened on that play. Without the movement, Bengi sacks Mcdonald with no contaversy.

As for your Texas pick....why would you think a LSU board would give two shits about a Usc fan prediction on the cws. You do it to try to piss off people. You were wrong as usual, so there is no need to try again. You are too easy, step up your game.

I wanted to know which he was talking about. My argument about the facemask is backed up by data. As was the movement of course.

Uh, there was a clear facemask. I already knew there was movement. The facemask is debunked, yet people still claim it did not happen.

6 months ago you denied the false start. You claimed your tape started in the middle of the play.

If games were covered in 1979 like they are today people would know the truth about that play. Most of the guys on this board were not even born when this game occured. Legend says the facemask was unclear and is was. Their elders told the story as they remember hearing it on RADIO. You keep trying to prove your point without telling the whole story. You know about the false start, but you never bring it up. If you would tell the whole story about the play I would not have to type all this. Just be F'ing honest about the play and what actually happened.

There is no need for our debate to be in this thread. The reason it is because you were trying to bate the LSU fan with half truths.

It did start in the middle. I did not deny it that it occurred. I said I wwould pass judgement when I saw it, unlike some LSU fans who claim there was no facemask without ever seeing the play.. I saw it not long afterwards.

You are blind as a bat. It was as clear as day. Those who swore it did not occur, quickly chnaged their minds when I posted it. The OVERWHELMING consensus here when presented with the tape is that there was a legit facemask. inadvertent, but a facemask nonetheless.

ANd yes, anytime someone brings up the "myth", I wil correct them.

He was referring to calls, as in plural. IMO, the facemask (which was legit) was one of them.

So, now that we have established that you are full of shite....tell me how did you like LSU's beating of Texas? Better yet, just let the LSU fans continue the thread of the top 5 moments in LSU football history.

Whatever.. The point is, this is like arguing about religion. Everybody believes what they want to believe and no amount of arguing is gonna change anybody's mind. However, what you HAVE been successful in doing (again) is hijacking a thread that is supposed to be about the Top 5 Moments in LSU football history and turned into a discussion about one frickin play that happened 30 yrs ago and you've already beat to death.

What do think would have happened to Mcdonald on that play if the two guys blocking Benji would not have had a head start? You know exactly what would have happened. Do you think a facemask was clear to the radio announcer doing the game? Do you know where the pressbox is located?

IT WAS A FALSE START!!!!!!! THE PLAY SHOULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED.... FACEMASK OR NOT IT'S MEANINGLESS. The call was missed and your team won.

Benji would have facemasked him? He would have been sacked? Touchdown USC? Interception LSU? Endless possibilities.

You know the right answer. You also know and admit that the correct call was not made and the video clearly shows that. Take the win and shut up.

As for the top five moments for me:

1 Oklahoma in the title game 2003 season
2 Ohio st in the title game 2007 season
3 Kentucky basketball 76-41 win at Rupp 1985
4 Kentucky basketball regional final 1986
5 LSU baseball over Miami 1996
6 Georgia SEC title game 2003
7 Georgia 2003 season
8 Duke basketball game sweet 16 2006
9 Florida St 1982 for the Orange Bowl
10 Florida 1997 football

ND 28-8 but I was too young to appreciate
Texas and Arky Cotton Bowls were great, but I wasn't born.
