When you are taking moral victories from a thrashing like that , you are in fact acknowlodging your opponents superioity

These people who keep saying LSU won because Oregon shot themselves in the foot are demented. As I said in another thread, if Oregon shot themselves in the foot it was because LSU was holding the gun and pressing their finger on the trigger.

They already banned me, but I would love to see what would happen if like 5 or 6 posters from the rant registered there and called them out.

I don't think that board could handle it.

Volt- I like that comment [Our offense was simple. Why? Because that's all we needed to beat you]

These clowns sound like Iowa fans. Example- We were only 9 pints from being undefeated. They fail to mention that is over 5 losses.

Oregon’s superstars Darron Thomas and LaMichael James both looked skittish in their play, unwilling to attack full bore, perhaps not mentally prepared with it being their first game back home in Texas playing in front of friends and family.

This HAD to be the reason for Oregon's subpar offensive production.

The heat looked to be Oregon’s biggest problem

Well I think we can all agree that it wasn't the massive and insanely fast LSU players that were fricking everything up for Oregon.

The game was oddly reminiscent of both last season’s BCS national championship and the 2006 Las Vegas Bowl, where Oregon all but abandoned the run early on and turned pass-happy going completely against the grain of the bread and butter that got Oregon into its current stature. A team predicated on running a modified triple-option offense shouldn’t have quarterbacks throwing 40-50+ times a game, playing directly into LSU’s best strength, their secondary.

Hmmm... I wonder if it could have been because

Much of Oregon’s offensive line performed well, though the left side of the line collapsed numerous times, especially once Darrion Weems became hobbled.

(NOTE: Emphasis added )

Cool story, Bob!

Our DEs were exposed more than Paris Hilton's titties during a week-long bender. Our DEs are small, but at least they're realllly slow too. Was surprised we didn't bump Remington and/or Hart out to DE when it became apparent that Jordan and Hanna were easy pickings for LSU.

If this game had been played several games into the season, would so many of Oregon’s players been stricken with leg cramps limiting their performance?

I like how on Friday, it was all about Oregon being the best conditioned team ever, and LSU was never going to be able to keep up with their pace. Now...they're blaming the LACK of conditioning for the loss? Nice.

I basically said that it's cool if FishDuck and his band of homers go to different boards and talk up the "revolutionary" oregon offense and how they will run LSU ragged. But heaven forbid if an LSU fan comes to them to tell them (without any personal insults) that they were wrong and LSU was the bigger faster, stronger, team.

Realizing that this would get me banned, I ended it with "FishDuck, had the results of the game ended in Oregon's favor would you still be on Tigerdroppings right now?"

Banhammer dropped 5 seconds later.

I brought up this article in an earlier thread and basically said that the Ducks had 9 months to prepare for the physicality of an SEC team and their coaching staff failed miserably. They played timid all game long from the moment we started lining up and smacking them in the mouth.

Conversely, LSU spent the past 9 months getting geared up to play with any tempo the Ducks could throw at them and save for 2 "alleged fake injuries" the Tigers were lined up and waiting on Oregon all night to snap the ball.

Maybe this off season Oregon can come down to BR our coaching staff can show them the Big Cat drill.

Apparently FishDuck is supposed to have a big video breakdown on that site tomorrow, explaining why oregon lost.

Can't wait.
