You're sadly mistaken if you think taking Ball from us is irritating.

if Ball was so good, why didnt Bobo take him to Col State with him. not impressed

Because he couldn't afford 300k for a WR coach.

UGA says he is a great coach, mediocre recruiter

Would have liked to get someone with more connections in Florida or Texas. Oh well.

I doubt Colorado State pays $260,000 for a wide receiver coach. What do you think?

My only concern is he's 55 years old. Was kind of hoping for a little younger up and coming coach.

experienced people almost always make the best hires. they know what they're doing. it seems young punks always diss the more mature crowd when they should be learning from them.

Amuses me a little that people wanted another recruiter. We already have added tons of recruiting talent to our staff. Wouldnt yall rather have a few guys on staff who can actually develop the talent?

One of my best friend played FB at UGA (walk-on lol), but I asked him for a breakdown on Ball when it leaked he was interviewing. He was his position coach for a bit then moved to WRs. He still keeps in touch with him so I figured it was a good source.

He told me

"Ball is a great coach. Teaches incredible discipline in route running, blocking, and constant hands drills." Said it "doesn't matter how talented you are, if you can't do little things right you aren't getting on the field. Fans will get frustrated at that though"

Also said players love him, but he's an average recruiter. He will focus on 1 or 2 guys a year and will get them, but doesn't cover a lot of ground and doesn't pull surprises on NSD or anything like that.

He took his OL coach to be the OC there. Pay probably pretty similar.

Homerun hires like orgeron can do both. But im not expecting a WR coach hire to be a homerun hire.

thats fine

I just want Juluke on staff in some capacity

he will be on a SEC staff eventually, and I would rather him be on LSU's staff

Fwiw my buddy is upset he left UGA and he played at UGA under Ball so I value that opinion more than 14 year olds on the internet.

We have talent and unreal recruiters, having a WR coach known for excellent talent development might be great for us.
