By no means did he putt bad, but he thought he could've done better and he's proved it through 2 rounds this week.
true, he didn't putt bad, but he had quite a few makable birdie putts that didn't fall last week.
this week vs last week could be bermuda vs. bent as well. Bermuda can drive you nuts...

I'd guess that Toms is pretty familiar with Bermuda greens being that he grew up playing in Louisiana.

Followed him today for the front 9...met some good ole Tiger fans out there.

doesn't really matter, the grain is different every where you go. I've played Palmetto a thousand times and it's still hit and miss on bermuda.

I think those guys are good enough to figure it out during the practice rounds. I agree though...given the same stroke, a putt is more likely to go in on Bent vs Bermuda because of the grain factor.

He is in a zone that I have never seen anyone in.
Just wait. This is something you want to watch and record.

Pulling for Toms all the way. He's made me interested in golf again. Geaux David Toms.

David Toms is by far the nicest Lsu professional athlete. In 2001 I met him at the Honda classic in a tour van on Monday. I was wearing a Lsu sec champ hat, I think we had just beaten tenn. He talked to me for 30 min or so and gave me two Lsu stamped wedges out of his bag. Years later I was fortunate enough to teach his son Carter chipping as an assistant pro at southern trace. He comes in the shop one day and says in an angry voice, "who taught Carter to chip?" everyone was frozen with fear thinking we messed him up. He came over and thanked me. Carter wouldn't listen to dad but he would listen to coach. Amazing story, listen to your dads the right more than there wrong! You will never meet a classier guy than David Toms!

Years ago I did some spotting/scoring work for CBS @ The International @ Castle Pines. I caught DT's group early on the back 9 on a Friday or Saturday and it was obvious he wasn't playing well enough to have enough points and advance to the next days play. When he found out I was from La and had gone to LSU we spent more time talking about LSU football than golf. I don't think his caddie was happy. DT's the definition of a class act on and off the golf course.

I hope one day he returns to LSU and completes his degree and gets in the LSU HOF ala Shaq. I seem to remember a couple years ago they wanted to put him in, but he declined due to this.
