Herb was a 4-year starter because Jamie Howard got hurt. If memory serves, Hodson started game 1 of his freshman year and every game while at LSU - QB starter in 44 straight regular season games plus 3 bowl games.

Think Guidry started the '87 game vs Bama because Hodson was injured. Tommy did play some late in the game though.
