win out, then win the entire SEC tournament. Would possibly be a 1 seed.

WIN sec reg season and sec tourny. We control our own destiny with 8 reg season games left. I will take it. Even if we lose at Uk, they play tenn twice. So we Have a lot in front of us that could do great things for our seeding.

Winning out would mean winning the SEC tournament or it wouldn't be winning out. Duh.

I mean when we’re talking about winning out right now, it would mean winning out in the regular season. Then win the sec tournament.

We could lose a game in the reg season and still get a 1 seed imo. But would have to win the Sec tourny and reg season titles.

30-5 would do it most likely. It’s a long shot of course but fun to think about

winning out would mean we beat both tennessee and kentucky twice most likely and we'd be 30-4, so yeah I'd say we'd be a 1 seed in that scenario. now if you wanna talk more realistically, let's say we go 2-2 in the four games between those two: it would be tough to not put us as a 2 seed with 2 high quality W's like that and a 28-6 record

It would be possible. We would be 29-5 in that scenario. We would have to beat Kentucky and Tennessee I think though. The loss would have to be Bama on the road probably. Still would have to think about Michigan, Duke, UVA, Gonzaga, and some other teams. Right now I say we get a 4 seed. If we beat Tennessee that could go a long way to getting us to a 3 seed.

I would think winning a strong conference and maybe reaching the finals of the SEC tournament could land a 1 seed, depending on what others do.

But that's just a rational analysis. The media and the committee will favor the blue bloods until they either fall apart, or someone like LSU goes nuts and wins out.

With that said, my answer is that LSU probably has to win out to be a 1 seed. But I think a 2 seed is very attainable.

They still prob have to win out just for a shot at a 2 seed. They need a signature win over UT and/or UK.

The committee released the top 16 yesterday. We were not among them. So they currently have us at least as a 5 seed perhaps lower. That’s a lot of teams to jump. We’d probably have to win out to get a 1 seed.

If we play our best ball, is there a team we can’t beat?

I'm thinking if they go 7-1 down the stretch (which would mean wins over one or both of UK and UT) and win at least two games in the SEC tournament, they'd have a really good shot at a 2 seed. The other scenario is to go 6-2 to finish the regular season, with a win over UK or UT, and win the conference tourney.

It wouldn't be easy, but frankly this team could easily be 10-0 in league right now, and they aren't shooting well, yet. I'm thinking if they can get hot from the outside, and keep up the work on the glass, this team could really take off.

UK and UT are already at their peak, in my opinion. We know what they are. Kentucky is always young, but Calipari's teams always seem to top out by this point. He's an average coach with a boat load of talent. LSU is a sleeping giant, even with their gaudy record. There is so much more potential to reach.

Love the Tigers, but we're not good enough to be a top seed. If we don't stop digging ourselves into a hole, we might hit a losing streak. I just want LSU to continue to improve and stop getting down early. This is a really young team but we could be fun to watch in the NCAA if we can continue to improve!
