Hate it for him.

But I’d like to think the XFL was his last chance with any type of professional football career.

Definitely one that shouldn't have declared early

I guess he shouldn’t have declared and got that degree. One more year I don’t think would have helped him because apparently he can’t cut the mustard in the NFL and XFL.

It’s not hard to find an example of what a difference a year makes. But who knows.

Guessing he got some bad advice, declaring early and going undrafted.

He went to the NFL in May 2018 and was out of the league by December of t That same year He hasn’t gotten back on an NFL roster even a practice squad since then. He played in the AAF but that closed up shop, maybe if the AAF were still up and running he would still be playing there?

And also I mean the XFL..... He got cut from there so I don’t really know where else he could play unless he tries out for the CFL

The issue isn't that you think this was likely his last chance at pro football. The issue is that you said you would like to think this was his last chance.

Why would you like to think it?

I’d like to think that because he’s been cut from every professional type of football there is. Well almost every type. .... The types that people would actually watch

Kinda funny you still don't get it. I'll help you out. Hopefully what you meant to say was "I'd imagine this was his last chance..." and not that you'd like to think that it was, which implies you're hopeful this is his last chance, which would be really weird.

I hope he does! Or if football is truly over for him, maybe find a good job at a company in Houston. I’m pretty sure there are some LSU alumni who own businesses in Houston that would hire him without one.

Damn, these men need to get their lives in order while they can. The number of people in the NFL making fortunes that last a lifetime are small. A degree would likely assure him of an income for life.
One year for a lifetime, seems pretty simple but greedy bastards use the naive young men for personal gain. The university does not, however, this fact has been flipped by the bastards
