Let me give you, and everyone, some information.

Yesterday, February 15 2020, these were a few results from the top 25:

#5 Louisville LOST @ Clemson (13-12, 7-8 ACC) NET 79
#10 Seton Hall LOST @ Providence (14-12, 7-6 Big East) NET 62
#11 Auburn LOST @ Missouri (12-13, 4-8 SEC) NET 87
#19 Butler LOST Georgetown (15-10, 5-7 Big East) NET 46
#24 Texas Tech LOST @ Oklahoma State (13-12, 3-9 Big 12) NET 69
#25 LSU LOST @ Alabama (14-11, 6-6 SEC) NET 35

That's just from one day. Anyone who thinks losing at Alabama is a bad loss is simply...well you're simply stupid and you don't know basketball. This happens nearly every Saturday and Sunday. College basketball has as much parity as it ever has. Go ask 20 analysts who will win the national championship and they will probably have 10 different answers.

LSU has lost some heartbreaking games lately. The Vandy game was horrible and we shouldn't have lost, the Auburn game we blew, the Alabama game we came out sluggish and fought until the end and almost snuck it out. Bottomline is that we can still beat literally any team we play. Can we lose? Yes. However, we have the talent to win every game, so why write the team off? We are in a lull right now, but we could get hot towards the end of the season, go into the tourney and make serious noise. I believe in what Wade is building, and I'm riding with him. It's a lot more fun when you're with the team than against them.

Don't even bother. the frothing morons of our fan base are already convinced that this team should somehow be doing much better than they are after the scandal and losing our three best players.

I agree with the educated segment that's simply begging for any effort on defense, but I still can't help but be really happy with where we're at right now in the season.

Cool, we’ve still lost 3/4, had to erase a 10+ point deficit in the other game (against a bad team), and have the toughest team in the league on Tuesday.

Things aren’t all sunshine and roses at the moment.

Minimum of 5 posters will chime in to say we may miss the NIT, its baseball season, and Wade has serious issues

Yea, that sometimes happens in good conferences. We went 8-0 to start the season.

That bad team just beat Auburn

So wait, you bring up LSU having to overcome a deficit but then bring up UK as the best team. So we will forget that Kentucky has played Vandy twice and was losing both times at half. What about Ole Miss game on Saturday? What about the Arkansas game? Hell, they lost to Evansville

Could we lose, absolutely. However, everything is setting up for LSU to win this game.

There are a handful of people who want any LSU coach fired after any loss. Its just the way it is. Don’t even bother listening to them.

Fans have every right to be pissed off about the way this team plays defense though. Anybody who has followed this team and has any basketball knowledge can see this team could be elite if we had any clue how to play defense. The coaching staff deserves every bit of criticism when it comes to how lost our guys are on defense. Its so frustrating because its not that hard to fix.

You should give them up, so a real LSU fan can buy them.

They have lost 3 of the last 5. That’s the issues. The same problems have not been corrected.

They also have won 10 of the last 13. Why stop at 5

Why would you say 3 of 5? Like it’s been posted, say 3 of 4. Hell, I could say we’ve won 9 of 12.

And to poster above, our defense is horrible. I’m not saying this team is perfect or doesn’t deserve criticism. I have criticized several things throughout the season. There needs to be some perspective in regards to all of basketball, though.

Is anyone saying they are? I think OP’s point was that it’s not doom and gloom. We’re not as good as we could be right now but we’re closer to that than being the worst we could be. AND we’re still in the mix for an SEC championship.

Great post. Basketball is in better shape than it has been in a long, long time.

We are playing for a seed right now, not wondering how we can maybe sneak in from the bubble.

He has raised the bar to the point that making the tourney is expected, and we should enjoy it while we can

It’s called The Rant. People can rant however they like. That’s why it’s here for us!! I watch all the games and root for them no matter what. However, this team is not playing consistently well. Defense is asleep at times and we have no outside shooters. Not much depth, so it’s tough to be consistently on. I love the way we fight back, but we also blow big leads. Overall, I think Wade doing a good job and these guys have heart. We don’t have the team to go as deep this year, but I enjoy watching them. And yes, we can rant all we want, whether we’re dumb or not! It’s why I love this forum!! ??. Geaux Tigers!!

Having Manning back and him progressing to more minutes and hopefully near 100% will make a HUGE difference in how things play out.

If we had Manning, I don't think we lose to Vandy or Auburn.
