Let's wait and see what happens with these last three games. An outstanding coaching job is a reach right now. But if LSU continues to play well and continues to cover the spread and handily beats these last three teams on our schedule, it IS an outstanding finish to a season that started off on the wrong track. Coach O will have then done an outstanding job of turning around a bad season and finishing on a high note. Yes, you will say he took them on the wrong track to begin with. But give him some credit. If this strong finish happens, try and enjoy their success and look forward to continued improvement in the program. Or you can continue to bash them until they have a perfect season.

What are you talking about? UAB was a shitty team that beat us at home. To the immortal Saban, nonetheless. It happens. But go ahead with your lulz.

The lulz is two fold. You think I love Saban, and you comparing O to Saban.

Keep repeating this, and one day it might be true. You got duped by shitty coaching in the first games of the year.

You can choose to look at it this way. I'd say that it requires a nearly complete failure in motivation, team leadership, and teaching and coaching attention to detail for the young players to lose to Troy at home.

No I’m not. I’m saying that even great coaches lose to shitty teams sometimes. And you’re also forgetting that our team is using an entirely different offense. That stuff takes time. Anyways, we are definitely on the right path. Much better than if we were still floundering this late in the year.

It was awful, indeed. The change that occurred after the Troy game was unbelievable.

Neither of us are going to change each other's opinions on an online message board. Both of us will continue believing the other is an idiot.

Other teams in the conference trending down is almost as good as LSU trending up in terms of perception, recruiting, and positioning ourselves for coming years.

In any case, it's far from proof that LSU will become dominant in a year or two or anything, but if nothing else, it's reason enough to give Orgeron another couple of years to do his thing. I don't care if we lost to Troy, a fanbase turning on a 1st year coach for a 3 loss regular season is ridiculous and bad for the program.

Of course, we have to actually win out before this conversation even means anything.

Yea, but only one of us is calling the results of this year outstanding.

one miserable person ..

you left out part of my turnaround and then for you, unless we beat the # 2 team in the country .. it is a horrible season...

I do not care what A&M did... I see what we are doing and in the direction we are heading ... time will tell.

and please tell me what did I make up?

After Troy, folks like you wrote the team off.

"No wins left on the schedule except Tennessee" was the mantra. With every win, there's been a bunch of whining that we didn't win by enough, or do it the right way, or whatever.

Blow it out your arse.

LSU can only play the schedule it has. I will take each win as it comes and be happy about it.

If LSU wins out ( and I believe we will) to finish 9-3, there will be no asterisk next to the record, and no one will remember jack squat about the coaching changes about to happen in two short years.

I didn't say horrible. I said it wasn't outstanding.

A&M played them closer than we did, and you put words in my mouth.

Oh boy. The entire premise of my first post in this thread was that the turnaround this team experience was great coaching. I never said the results of this year were outstanding. You're putting words in my mouth and therefore, missing my point.

No, you said outstanding.

I don't find it outstanding that we lost wire to wire to Bama.

Since you sound like a Saban lover, are you old enough to remember Saban losing to UAB at home in 2003?

That was 2000 and Saban had just inherited a 3-8 program which had to be rebuilt from the ground up. Orgeron didn't.

But that's like... your opinion, man.

Nit picky posts like this are why people in this thread are calling you miserable. Just FYI.

It sucks that we lost to Alabama, but the team played far better than most of us believed they would. There is still a lot of improvement that needs to take place in the program and I am happy to see us trending upward.
