I can’t believe people are even freaking out. He sucks as a coach
I think a lot of us who started out as wanting Frank to stay were already coming around to him not being a guy we had to retain at all cost. Then he went and acted a fool and burned even more bridges.
frick all of his nonsense. I will enjoy seeing the sharp downturn in their RB performance next season, though.

Whatever LSU coach that shows up to NOLA with millions of dollars of NIL money to pass out will be the new "Frank Wilson". Relax. It's the NIL era. Money talks, BS walks.
You do realize Frank was the primary recruiter for Brown, Anderson and Geralds, the diamonds of this current LSU class (in the NIL era, btw) and postponed their signings as a show of his value to a coaching staff, right? It could have easily sabotaged Kiffin's very first signing day at LSU and taken the shine off the seriously good vibes we have now after they did sign. Frank has a mysterious grip on certain recruits in the NIL era (that he won't even coach), that's more than money.
Wilson once had Jarvis Landry, La'el Collins & Freak Johnson, all committed to TN, then when he suddenly got the job here, they all followed him like the pied piper to LSU. If NIL is close to equal, relationships still matter & can be the tie-breaker. I'm not freaking out, but I'm also not casually dismissing Wilson's potential to steal multiple La. bluechips from a future class, to a border state rival (I'm just glad he's not atTexas).

In the "golden era" of LSU football, 2000 to 2019, Frank Wilson was on the staff for 5 years, none of which produced a National Champion (although he was with us in 2011). His contributions and value are greatly overstated by a few. LSU has done quite well without Wilson on the staff.
He was on Kiffin's staff at Tennessee so Lane knows him and, had he valued and wanted him, would have kept him.
I don't think anyone is freaking out.

Juluke(Texas) and Frank (OM) should have several millions to pass out.

Frank is so overrated. We’ve been losing out many blue chip Louisiana players while he’s been at LSU. His lack of coaching ability isn’t made up for with his overrated recruiting prowess. Much needed change.

Kiffin had Frank on his staff at Tennessee. He’s very familiar with Frank.
Everyone is.
Kiffin chose smith over Frank after working with both.
That’s it.

Frank thought he was bigger than the program and that doesn’t work.

It’s really bizarre.
We hired a new coach who has led his teams to lead the SEC in rushing since he was at OM, yet people wanted to retain a RB coach that underperformed.

losing Frank Wilson
Yeah but, yeah but, yeah but, yeah but… you see he knows all these High school New Orleans coaches. His running backs consistently suck under his tutelage, but at least he can recruit!!! So we’re told. Get him out of here. Have fun at Ole Miss …and bring some money with you .

That just means Coach O is coming if they let Wilson leave.

I still want and would like to see Coach Frank Wilson retained in some manner with the Tigers. If it does not happen I will still support my Tigers and wish Coach Wilson and his family the best.

The same people freaking out over losing Frank are the ones that think MVB is a heisman hopeful next year.
Should not be taken seriously

that is stupid, we aren't OM....who cares if he coaches a meaningless bowl game?
Dude failed miserably at his two stops as a head coach, and is WAY overrated as a RB coach. In fact, I'd say he was a failure there too. The only thing he is supposed to be good at is getting Nola guys....guess what, we are in a new age. We can get a good coach AND someone that can recruit NOLA. Winner Winner

those same people hate Nuss, make up stories about nuss getting sacked massive amounts of time because of course he is a statue...at the same time giving MVB the benefit of the doubt because, according to them, he is mobile.....even though he was getting sacked far more than Nuss, per play. The bashing of Nuss has been insane. Terrible OL coach, terrible OL play, terrible OC, terrible play calling...terrible RB coaching, and also not good WR coaching......but it was Nuss fault. Going to be funny when Nuss sticks with an NFL team.

LOL
IDIOT
We have done much better when Frank wasn't here. I for one am glad he is gone. Dude thought he should have been head coach, while he failed bigly at small schools as a head coach and as LSU's RB Coach....but sure, make him a head coach, because NOLA kids like him.....the hell with the fact that he can't coach a lick.

All of these suppose blue chips that were in his core area he completely whiffed on them. At one time I would agree a person like Frank Wilson, Burton burns, David Johnson, Terry Joseph was needed for a staff to recruit the River parishes successfully now that’s not the case.

If anyone with half a brain saw how we’ve run the ball the last two years and how OM ran the ball under Kiffin, the choice is easy if I’m a heralded running back.
