You can have a good offense despite having a mediocre QB
especially if the system works and theres enough talent to run it....
example: Darren Thomas (Oregon)
Does anyone know who in the hell Scott Tolzien is?
Probably not, but hes a QB for the 4th best scoring offense in the country.
Crowton is terrible and the offense has been anemic all season, its pretty simple.

Funny part is, all of the negatigers will be praising Miles again after we win our bowl game and finish near the top 5.

The ole piss game NEVER fooled me. I don't know why they even left for awhile. Ole Piss gave up 50 pts two weeks in a row before playing us. But yet all the koolaide drinkers thought Crowton and JJ had finally gotten themselves together and acted like they were capable of running this team.....well, THEY ARE NOT.
So until we fix obvious flaws in our system, I'll continue to have a negative outlook on our staff, even when we get lucky and win some games...because besides Bama, I haven't seen a solid performance yet

Abe is right our offense SUCKS! U sunshine pumpers never give up. Can u imagine how good we could have been if we had a qb? We have not had one in the last 3 years, & guess what we have the same ones back next year.

If you are so realistic, then surely you know that a football team is best judged on what is does as a team and what LSU did as a team was win 10 of 12 games while playing in perhaps the toughest division or one of the toughest of all of college football this season.
And for petes sake, how is talking "could be" BS realistic??? That's like me saying LSU could have been 12-0 and then proclaiming myself as being realistic.
If you had not "happy" with 10-2 and 10th ranked in the BCS with a bowl game yet to go, it's your right to be as unhappy as you want...knock yourself out.

BTW, everyone in the free world knows that the LSU offense has limitations which needs to be addressed. Both Joe and Miles stated the same at the end of last season. You are not exactly breaking a new story, Mr. Realistic.
Some are just able to enjoy a successful football season without beating the obvious to death 24-7.

I agree 100%. One thing I have quit trying to do is convince these young posters that a ten win season is a great season. These guys will always find something to complain about. They think LSU should be ranked no lower than 5, have at least a top 20 offense and defense, and never have another down/rebuilding year.
It just doesn't happen year in and year out. Ask USC, Miami, FSU, UF, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, Penn St., Michigan, etc., etc., etc.
The LSU program had two down years while Miles was HC. Both years involved starting an unproven underclass QB. Just think if Ryan Periloux would not have had so many personal issues ('08 & '09). Miles worst record at LSU would have 10 wins. These young pups just don't get it.
Do I wish LSU had a better offense - sure; a better Offensive Coordinator - sure; a better QB - sure. Do I want Crowton replaced - yes, but I will enjoy the heck out of ten win season. When the young pups grow up, they will realize that they don't come often and the ride to the top doesn't last forever (see list of teams above).

Excellent post Tigerfan128. Couldn't agree with you more. Always room for improvement but this constant "chicken little" attitude around here is ridiculous. Get a grip people and as he said "enjoy the ride".
