Thanks and to everyone serving with me. I'm staying up all day instead of sleeping to have a Christmas meal. Thanks to all the ranters who have posted ways to watch the games. This football season has been hard not being there but I can't wait for Oregon in Dallas

Thanks, I was in Kandahar, Afghanistan last year at this time and it looks like I will be in Kabul, or parts unknown next year. I'm in the Air Force, and am proud of what I do and the difference that I make. To all the ranters out there thank you for making this forum interesting, and always having an opinion on anything. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.

From someone who definitely knows how it feels to be in your shoes, Merry Christmas! Stay safe! You are not forgotten! America Appreciates what you do! Anyone who doesn't, doesn't deserve the freedom you provide, although they still enjoy it! God Bless!

The bird here was great! It was nice and tender and moist! Didn't even use cranberry sauce or gravy! The also had prime rib tonight and it was also excellent! They did it up right for us. Merry Christmas everyone!

...serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Kosovo, etc. - to those of you away from your family this Christmas - I wish you a decent chow hall bird and plenty of bandwidth to Skype home on Christmas Day, a cozy MWR tent to watch the Cotton Bowl on AFN and a safe end to your tour and return trip home.

To every one of you: thanks for what you do!

Well said!

I remember staying up all night in Baghdad to watch the LSU-OKLA National Championship game...and it was well worth it.

Best holiday meal i had that year was in the camp of 2nd ACR out of Folk Polk, LA...we ate near the 'Assasin's Gate' in the Green Zone in Baghdad. They treated me good even though I was a Sailor out of water, maybe because i was a Louisiana Native!

Lucky.

I'm working overnights, and all they serve at Midnight Chow is sandwiches and soup.
