I get it but at the same time it kinda sends the wrong message about athletes in general; color of one’s skin again has nothing to do with athleticism , heart and dedication.

the way you defeat racism is to make fun of it.

Ridicule is a great weapon. If White People like Honkey Badger, then who on earth cares?

Let the fun begin...

Feel like I am back in 7th grade with these “clever and funny “ nicknames..

Honey badger was great and went with the video and commentary of the animal…

Make something original and stop stealing others . Or lame spinoffs .. this is like the second movie of the ghostbusters or something equivalent.

Yea, Blake Rufino has said it, cant remember if it was on one of his shows

Yeah he said it on Ruffino and Joe, his national show

He also coined the "Lad McHonkey" nickname last year which I thought was great.

Honkey is probably the least used slur

I get what you’re saying, but if it were a little more prevalent and common to use to shame white people you’d have more of a point.

“White boy” uttered by non white people functions as WAY more of a slur than honkey. I’ve literally never been called a honkey in my life. I don’t know if I’ve heard anyone called a honkey.

“Karen” for uptight white women is more of a mainstream slur than honkey

Honky is objectively a funny word

It's a word created by blacks to denigrate whites with the hopes that it would insult and hurt whites in the same way the N word does for them. It does not, we think it's funny for the most part in my experience.

So for me it's not really a double standard because it does not bother the vast majority of whites, where as the N word does for blacks.

There are far better examples of double standards, IMHO this is not a good one.

Neither one is funny!! My whole point was, why is it funny for one name to be said and another name to be derogatory or racist. BOTH are racist really, HISTORY shows that Einstein!! I’m not offended, I realize where it comes from. I’m used to certain people, and political party being able to say something and it’s suppose to be ok, when it’s NOT!! So chill and pull your boxers out Bro.
