Why all the BS over an apology?
no kidding.

TM7 mans up and does what his upbringing taught him to do and apologizes *to the fans* and yet some on here want to make some kind of argument against it. Good Lord.

He probably realizes what I did last night, that there are 10 yr olds (like mine) who love to watch him play and yell Honey Badger and are proud he wears purple & gold.... and those 10 yr olds are processing the news of him being found out for pot-smoking.

He apologized; and right now I've never been prouder to have a TM7 man-crush. Godspeed, TM7.

I think there is another thing to keep in mind, too. Sure, the players and coaches are the tight bond here, by a long-shot, but they realize that there is this special feeling in the fanbase about this team -- this team has the opportunity to be the Best LSU Football Team Ever.

That's a great accomplishment in the making, and you don't get there without appreciating the moment and seizing it. Suspensions kinda work counter to that.

A little over the top don't you think? "Greatpower? Great responsibility"?

What, exactly does an apology change?
One apologizes if one harms another person. How precisely has that kid personally harmed any of you?
All of this is just over-reacting. Relax.

i dont think TM7 is over-reacting by apologizing. he felt that he let his fans and teammates down and apologized because it was the right thing to do.maybe hes more of a man than you or a bunch of other retards on this site could be.football coaches teach you from day one to hold yourself accountable and thats what he did. im cool as the back side of the pillow

I wasn't suggesting that TM was over-reaching.

He doesn't owe anyone an apology but he offered one. He also admitted his youthful bad decision. TM7 has not screwed us before so I hope everyone can be the big person it takes to accept it. If he screws up again like this then he's fair game.

I don't know if most of the people on the rant realize what these players did was not illegal 6 months ago and the NCAA does not test for it because it is so new. LSU does test for it and has no obligation to the NCAA on enforcement. This is one way the program is taking care of these young men ala Tuff Luv... The shite they were smokin has put many a person in the E-room (including a friend of mines son) and ESPN quoted a story of a BBplayer in SC that collapsed and died at practice from heart complications. Thank God LSU does test for this.

So did anybody catch his tweet today where he was saying it was him against the fans or some shite? I just looked and he's deleted it and since issued the apology.

Sorry but you can bet your arse that once that one went out he caught Coach's attention and now we've finally got the apology. So yeah, somebody either made him do it or he did the fastest attitudinal 180 ever seen in the span of about two hours.

I think he likes playing in front of 92K fans, many of whom he let down. When you lump all fans into this you are including the 12 year old who idolizes him. Yes, he owes the fans an apology. Apology accepted, let's move on.

I only have one thing to say. You made a mistake. Many others, greater and lesser than you have done the same. Focus your energy on Alabama and kick the living shite out of them. They are scared as hell of us. Support your team this week and destroy Alabama. Thanks for all the great memories you have provided the Tiger faithful! You will live forever in our hearts! Go Dog!!

"with great power comes great responsibility"

Interesting.
Who/what is the Great Power?
What precisely is that Power and over whom/what?
How is it exercised?
What responsibilities does this Great Power have?
What harm occurs if this Great Power faileds?
Who defines the Great Responsibilities of this Great Power?

I admit I enjoy hyperbole as much as anyone but to assign Great Power to a college football player is a bit absurd in my view.

It's time that some of this fan base got over themselves and enjoyed the season.

He could unofficially sure. I don't doubt he could do it, but probably won't since he is a "players-coach" and he probably doesn't see it as the same problem fans do.

The only way he could do it without taking a hit from his current players and on the recruiting trail from other coaches who would allow twitter is if it was a university policy and that shouldn't happen.
