I'm not saying not to use statistics. I'm saying it's not the exclamation point that some of you are making it out to be. It's not the mic dropping point.

The whole pointing out that Finley had it easier vs South Carolina than Brennan had it vs MSU/Vandy/Missouri is a bunk point. Some people need to go ahead cut ties with that direction and stick to another argument in the debate

They’re too busy buying tickets to the State v. Missouri SECCG matchup in Atlanta this year. I’ve never seen people rush to crown two more worthless programs.

I agree.

To me the major difference was how much better the overall team played.

No, my statement was in no way connected to Brennan.

Well you quoted me saying Brennan didnt perform exceptionally well versus State then said they had the best defense in the SEC... so it sounds like you were connecting it to Brennan—if not, my bad

Yeah, he did get rid of the ball quickly, huh.

So to you, thats the only difference?

Didn't notice less obvious passing downs and better line play?

So we take a snapshot of the current defensive statistics and make that as though it's the exclamation point on your argument. So if me and Tiger Woods are playing golf together, and I happen to get lucky and birdie the first hole when he makes a par, I can run around screaming to the world that I'm better than Tiger Woods. Right?

So 2 games of defensive stats where State’s offense has done nothing and their defense has had to live on the field mean nothing? I love how you completely ignore all context. All we are saying is they don’t suck and there are numbers beyond your weak argument to back that up.

Calm down, sweet pea. Don’t get emotional.

You said he won’t be able to rely on pick sixes and special teams TDs going forward and I pointed out that he didn’t rely on those 14 points in last night’s win.

Amazing how good a qb looks when he has no pressure. Brennan was setting records while running for his life. Hope TJ can do that also but Brennan’s productivity under duress is known.

Teams can't rely on those stats week to week.

Teams can't keep it simple on offense for long when your defense sucks.

None of these are dismissive of the good game he had or how much better he can get.

It's not hard concepts here.

:nods head:

Yes... and TJ Finley and the LSU Tigers did not rely on special teams and defensive touchdowns to win the game last night.

Meanwhile—The defense gave the offense 13 points against Miss State and we lost by 10. Your own points are contradicting themselves.

Didnt have to, the defense only gave up 23 points.

The defense gave up 44 points.

The defense is the difference in the wins and losses.

Seriously—read up on the convo I’ve had with the other guy. He is claiming Finley relied on special teams and defensive touchdowns and won’t get those breaks in the future.

Your post suggests you think I brought this up.

The defense gave up 44 points

And the offense only scored 20 on its own. You aren’t following the conversation.

Lol.

Our defence sucks so far.

I'm contradicting nothing.

Click bait someone else.

TJ played awesome and I am excited about his future.

Myles is still better at this point. Myles knows and understands the offense and has the maturity.

TJ will learn and grow into a great QB. I love what we saw last night. Lets give him a break and let him continue to grow and mature.
