re: TJ Finley - Don't underestimate him over the big names and legacy kids.

Remains to be known. We won't know until it's game time. I'm sure our information out of practices will be limited.
Yet all the shite you said in the OP isn’t “remains to be known” lol

A lot depends on what happens with Parrish.
Not really, the depth chart will be
Myles Brennan
TJ Finley
Max Johnson

Let's just hope we get a full camp in without any issues causing us to shut it down, Brennan needs all the reps he can get and the Oline needs to gel.
Very true.

Lol he does not have an accurate arm.
Perhaps, but accuracy can be developed if he doesn't. People improve under the right tutelage.

Bookmark this one - Barring multiple injuries, TJ Finley will NEVER play a snap in a live game for LSU.

Can't get why Parish is no longer on the team? To led the high school team to the state championship game!

Ok sure. So when have you won the lottery lately? Come on champ! Yes he will, even if it's mop up duty.

1badboy,
That is baffling. Hope the best for this young man.

But the rant told me he would never play a snap because of 5 seconds of a drill they saw on the first day of spring practice.

I will elaborate just a bit ...
Brennan will start for the next 2 years and everything I see of Max Johnson tells me he's the 2nd best QB on the team.
My position is that Finley will transfer out once he sees there isn't a path to the starting position for him outside of an injury.
So, given his talent and desire to play, he transfers after the 2021 season and therefore never gets the chance to play at LSU.

From what I've read/seen Finley is putting in the work. Props to the kid for coming in and doing what needs to get done to develop. Max looks to be doing the same as well. Brennan has been in the system, has bulked up and looks to be ready for a breakout season as a JR.
I'm just excited to see what looks like a very competitive group of QBs. Unless we do a complete 180 from last season which is unlikely, the LSU high octane offense is here to stay.

Tifwiw but a starter on defense told me when the team went live during those 3 spring practices he looked way better than max Johnson

I wouldn’t be shocked if he winds up playing some meaningful snaps this year.
If Brennan gets injured, and has to leave a game, either Finley or Johnson will be playing meaningful minutes. If he does not get injured neither will see a single meaningful play.

Have you watched him throw? He has a high school arm.

I strongly believe Max will be ahead of TJ.

Thought he was referring to Max Johnson as a legacy kid being the son of a NFL QB.

Nope, not to start the season
Posted on 6/9/20 at 10:43 am to Silvermoon_WhereRU
Jamarcus Russell needed a couple of years to be ready. Hell the consensus #1 QB in the country is going to sit behind Trevor Lawrence this year and likely won’t play any meaningful minutes unless injury.
