You have to pay attention to comments like we lost to the National Champions or we lost to the # whatever ranked team in the country. Also there is the comment we were not favored to win that game or we weren't picked to win that game anyway. There is also the comment we did about as good as we thought we would this year. Don't forget comments referring to how bad the 90s were when people point out the losses to these three teams. It's all over the place. But my main point is we have not beaten Ole Miss, Bama, or Florida in 2 years.

What does QBs and DCs have to do with LSU having the #90 ranked rushing offense overall and the #11 ranked rushing offense in the SEC last year?

Choctaw I am not trying to be a smartass but it took me 2 seconds to find an entire thread dedicated making excuses and explaining the losses to Florida and Bama. Go to inebr8ted's thread posted recently basically excusing every one of the losses to these 2 teams.

whenever I speak of those losses less critically than other losses goes not mean I'm perfectly content losing to bama and Florida every year. it means that last year was JJs first full year as a starter and chavis' first year as DC and we lost 3 reg season games two of which were to the best teams in the nation. not horrible for our current situation but by no means acceptable every year.

MOST later.

What? "MOST" develop later than their junior year? But the ever credible "they" say it happens in the junior year, don't they? So is this the magical year or isn't it? I certainly don't want to hear next summer, after another shitty year from our QBs, that "they" are now saying it's the senior year. Let's nail this down now. When, in "their" all-encompassing wisdom, do "they" say that "most" QBs suddenly and dramatically improve?

the fact is we still went 8-8 in the SEC over the past 2 seasons.

The fact is we went 51-15 in the last 5 yrs, won 2 west titles, 2-0 in BCS bowls, 4-1 in all bowl games, and won a NC.

Is there another LSU coach in our history who has done better than the above?

We went 5-3 in the SEC in 2009 which earned LSU the highest SEC bowl bid outside the BCS and we were ranked 17 out of a 120 FBS football programs. U need to get over the 8-8 crap and move on.

You must be thrilled with the current state of the economy being that you don't believe in trends.

you need to accept that 8-8 happened...

we get it Less went 51-15 over the 5 year span, but in the last two years he was 8-8 in the SEC...

using the years end poll, how many top 25 teams has Less beaten in the last two years???

U want trends?

2008 was 7-5, 3-5, and not ranked.

2009 was 9-3, 5-3, and ranked 17.

U have a problem with that trend?

Here is another trend...

2005 finished ranked 5th
2006 finished ranked 3rd
2007 finished ranked 1st

2008 unranked
2009 ranked 17th
2010 ? ranked 10th
2011 ? ranked 1st

What's so hard for u 2 understand---17.

U need to accept that in 2009 we were 5-3. If I have to forget we won a NC in 2007, then u have to forget we were 3-5 in the SEC in 2008.

I don't know of a "Less" with a relationhship to LSU. Is that a name your friends use for u?

actually it was:

2008 - 8-5 and unranked
2009 - 9-4 ranked 17

edited to remove "unranked"

at the end of the football year....

but i think the trend alot of people look at is...

2007 - NC
2008 - 50 something ranked defense
2009 - 100 something ranked offense
2010 - what going to fail us this year..

oops... my mistake there...

that is a fact and i'm not disputing that.. but 5-3 is average.... not elite...

i never asked you to..

then u have to forget we were 3-5 in the SEC in 2008.
its part of our history... you have to look at that just as you can look at the NC in '07...

Our best win last year was against an unranked Auburn. 9-3 in the regular season is meaningless when you have four rent-a-wins, plus Vandy and Moo State on your schedule.

So we finished 3rd in a very down year for the SEC and only finished that high because Ole Miss choked at home against Mississippi St in their last game. There is also a very large gap between us and the teams that finished 1st & 2nd who both went 8-0. Not to mention 0-4 vs teams that finished in the final Top 25.

Really? Really? So you're content with a .500 record over the last 2 years since the National Championship? I hope our administration doesn't share this same opinion.

Ever notice how the same people that defend Miles incessantly are the same ones predicting an 11-1 or 10-2 season this year? I'm trying my best to be optimistic, but 10 regular season wins just aren't going to happen. Sorry.
