It can't hurt to try Reynolds...he has good stuff and control. But I still don't discount Bonvillain..who could be a good change of pace after the two right handed power pitchers.
But. Ya..his role as middle reliever is pretty solid...can't dispute that

I think the intention is to RS Sewald. I don't know if they can still RS Butler. I don't know what the playing time limit is.
I seem to recall in 2009 (maybe 10, not exactly sure), Michael Reed started 2 or 3 midweek games, but still received a redshirt.

Take the batting shite to another thread. Just because you can bat doesn't mean you can do everything else well...

Here ya go smart arse..
You would be weakening an already questionable part
" the bullpen" if u move bonvillian. We need him in berry as righty/lefty middle relief.
You could just flip flop Reynolds and Glenn without disturbing the rest of the staff

We will know by Wednesday if Reynolds doesn't start one of the midweek games. Time will tell. Regardless..this is a special LSU team..with very few weaknesses. Lets enjoy the ride and see where it goes..

What is the expected return date for McCune?

We need to hope the McCune we get back is a return of 2011 McCune. 2012 McCune was absolutely awful.

I don't think we should give up on Glenn until he hits 4 consecutive batters......

I think banking on McCune at this point is a mistake. If he comes back to his form then i would just see it as an added bonus. I don't think you can count on him as of now for the Sunday starter role.

Take him out when he should've been taken out and it's not a 1 run game.

A) Not "banking" on anything. Just curious on what his expected return is.
B) I'm not assuming he's going to be the starter on Sundays. In fact that would be idiotic, at least at first, with NO game time this year. I do think he's going to be an asset for us and will pitch at least well enough to be a big time reliever that we will need in postseason play without a solid third and fourth starter

I didn't see the game, started listening to it in the 4th inning (so I basically missed all the action). But one of the things I like that Dunn and PM do is give the pitcher the opportunity to work himself out of a jam.
It's obviously a risk, and can go against you, like it did today. But we'll need him to be able to do it later this season, so giving him every opportunity now is paramount.

I agree with this. I also believe PM has a tendency to leave pitchers in too long. This was not a case of leaving a pitcher in too long. He had 2 outs with 1 on and was doing okay until some control issues. MAYBE one batter too long but really I thought it was a coaches decision that could have gone either way. Didn't work out for us but he could have just as easily been able to induce a ground ball/pop up from coaches perspective.

The redshirt rule is the same for all sports. One play and you lose a year of eligibility. It would take a medical waiver at this point to not lose a year.

That's not the rule, but thanks for trying.
