They also have a top 5 MBA program in the country and the most reputable law school in the state. LSU also has the top internal audit program in the world. I'm not trying to trash UL because I don't know much about it. But it's pretty asinine to pretend that LSU is just an athletics school. Yes the athletics at LSU are consistently elite. But that doesn't mean that there are no good academic programs.

Yes it matters. I am an LSU grad and know LSU is not super well respected. ULL is even less respected than LSU and it is a good bit regarding at least anything technical. quote:

1. LSU isn't expensive so going to LSU over any other public school for a technical degree is definitely worth it.
2. It is a lot easier to judge a person's potential if they have shown they can take on a more difficult challenge.
3. You are out of your mind if you think ULL engineering is comparable to LSU engineering.
4. PE is easy anyways.

8000 in the Cajundome? for a ULL game?...wow...well, I live in lafayette and to get 8000 in the cajundome for a ULL game they must have given away a car or Ice gator tickets or maybe free Tshirts that had 99.9 KTDY on them...I dont think you could add up the whole basketball season attendance total for ULL and get 8000 fans just to show up for a basketball game without giving away something!..check out a pic of Tiger stadium for a football game and see what 90,000 looks like...I once played a band job for a ULL tailgate party and they might have had maybe 5000 there and half of those tickets were given away!..so dont come here with your dumb shite about ULL...not even close!...

So your comparison is the same as saying going to community college is the smarter choice because it is cheaper and you "get the same piece of paper"?
That whole statement just shows how illiterate you are. I personally could have gone to ULM, ULL, and La Tech for free. Instead i went to LSU and all i got was a few thousand dollars, and i chose LSU simply because LSU > all other schools in Louisiana academically (besides Tulane). And yes, If a person from ULL and a person from LSU went to a job interview, and both of these people had same GPA in same major and what not. 90% of the time, the job goes to the LSU graduate, and thats just how it is.
