free education >>> "pay your fees get your Bs" and graduate saddled with debt unless you have a scholarship imo

If you're in LA, TX (or the south in general), LSU degrees get respect for the most part. If you so desire to move to the west coast or the northeast then I agree Tulane is favored there over any SEC school. All about where you want to be in the end

Ranking don't really mean much once you're out of the top 10 or so. But you said Tulane was the only "nationally respected" school in Louisiana and that's simply not true.

Not to mention Tulane's costs are almost $50K a year. That's just silly for that education.

I am not trying to belittle either school. Once again, LSU should keep their bragging rights to athletic accomplishments. That is all I am trying to get across.

From an academic standpoint it is definitely true

To further my point....

Tulane- B School Tuition

Full-time: $40,350 per year

LSU- B School Tuition

Cost
Tuition

Full-time: $9,672 total program (in-state)

Who wants to graduate with that debt?

Again, how do you know this? LSU is very respected in multiple fields.

are you slow? people were contrasting LSU and ULL and in that conversation LSU has the edge academically. how hard is that to understand? damn. you aren't exactly doing Tulane any favors here

Go read back through this thread. It was a little more than LSU has an edge academically.

Also, learn how to properly capitalize words where appropriate and use proper punctuation. You aren't doing LSU any favors here.

Tulane has one of the more generous financial aid departments nationally, which is one of the reasons I went there. Nobody pays sticker price.

Every science program is better at LSU, as is every engineering. Pretty much any BS from LSU is better than one from Tulane. BAs, yea Tulane.

ETA: IMHO.
