Who do you move to the east? I would move the eastern most teams to the east. Or is that to freaking radical and crazy talk?

I don't have a problem with the current divisional setup; however, the permanent opponent really doesn't make sense. It should be a 2 team rotation each year.

Give Florida a couple more years of dealing with great LSU teams and they will be voting against the permanent stuff as well.

Who do you move East? Arkansas would make just as much sense as Missouri. LSU is in the same boat. The Mississippi and Bama schools have in state rivalries.

You move Bama or Auburn to the East and make the other one their permanent cross-division rival. Boom. Done.

I'm pretty sure they didn't want it this year either.

Posted by TheDoc Seriously. You can't have 4 rivals. You get one rival. That's it. And you play them on the last weekend of the season. Bama and tennessee are permanent rivals? Why?

Yep. Not being a Bama or Tenn fan, I never understood this rivalry. I'm sure it means a lot to both fanbases but at the national level it isnt a big game nor do other sec fans care about it. Bama has AU and Tenn has Florida. They can deal with it.

I agree with Charles on some points, disagree on others. Permanent cross division games are a joke and need to go, but if we're going to have one it might as well be Florida.

I would have no problem with a Thanksgiving night game. If we have to move it from Saturday it might as well be to a day that is unique and maximizes exposure. Friday afternoons are terrible.

Friday afternoons are the worst. Plus it seems the nfl games end pretty early so lsu would be the only game on

Tigerzone going off

Hell yeah, I could have swarn that was me. He said all the crap that has been pissing me off about the SEC.

A few points in his tyraid. LSU getting screwed over with traditions. Accomodate everybody but LSU.

Non-divisional game setup is bull shite. I should pull up my old post for a link. He said exactly what I said.
Pretty much one of the worst 'no context' rants I have ever seen on these boards.

Screw that logic. Line up and beat them down, LSU should not care who we play all they need to care about is playing up to expectations.

sec really needs to add two more teams and go pods. 14 is unsustainable.

Breaking up Bama & UT will never happen. Bama has way too much control of the SEC for that to ever happen. If you doubt that, go to the SEC baseball tourney in Hoover, get an invite up to the SEC office's box suite, watch all those "SEC" officials in their red blazers openly pulling for Bama in any game. There is a good reason why all the alumni groups located in Birmingham from the other schools in the conference scream to get the offices taken away from B.ham. They know too well bout how strong an influence Bama has on the office. Forget the #1 man, the Commish.Look at who is #2,3,4, etc
