we have no quaterback. our secondary is playing well thats about it. I don't like the offensive playcalling and excecution. That falls on gary crowton and miles.

"Plus, this was Steve Sarkisian's third game at Washington. Let's be clear: He's winning with Mark Emmert's players."

This is sarcasm, right? Please tell me yes because Wash was 0-for last season.

How dare you speak anything negative about crowton or miles. They are the saviors for this program and we will be 11-1 or 12-0 with two titles this year. Have you not figured this out yet. They do nothing wrong. The posi-tigers will will us through the season with their positive outlooks on the season.

lots of tongue in cheek but in all matters of creating a winning program and continuing one; we don't need angry leader's like this...

Mike, you seem to have issues with success. I think you'd be a much happier person if we never won another game again. You must be a real joy to hang out with.

As far as the fans' loud response to the SC-UW score, I wish it would have happened as it did 2 yrs. ago during the win over Florida...

My take on LSU is this: We're 3-0, with a good shot at 4-0 and 2-0 in SEC play. We're better than SC (and Ohio St., for that matter) and Wash. (and that was a righteous win in week one). Florida is beatable at Tiger Stadium, the Arkansas game may be a tougher road test for LSU than Georgia. Almost all SEC schools are scoring tons of points and allowing tons of points. Oh well, it's all coming down to the games between LSU, Ala. and O.Miss, as it should be.

Also, since when the fxxk does LSU throw a moon-pass on 1st & goal from the 1-yd. line (to C. Scott of all guys)??? I know why Miles did it, but give me a break.

i think that miles will open up the playbook against georgia and we will be pleasantly suprised by this LSU offense......that is if Jefferson can show poise in the pocket and keep his eyes downfield instead of taking off as soon as he feels any sort of pressure.....but i dont think this will happen any time soon and i find myself holding my breathe everytime he decides to chuck the ball 20+ yards....the 5 times that this has happened

Please Carl, we won the game. How could you ever post anything negative in a win against the Cajuns of UL? They are future world beaters. Les and the crew made sure we were less than mediocre in some areas so that when crunch time comes,... bam, right in your SEC mouth fellas...., we was just fooling you with our non- conference schedule performance.

Our weekly disclaimer, updated after another game: This was only Jefferson's fifth college start.

I love how if anybody other then a paid writer would say this they're a ranter

Also as many have mentioned the 8-4 line would have gotten anybody else run off

Seriously though when anyone else points the negatives out they are called out on it as jlc said. Maybe you can talk some sense into these posit-tigers and make them realize this is not a sec contending team. BTW good post.

STFU douchebag. If I hear posi, nega, or any ___tiger again it will be too soon.

Good notes on the game Carl. I'm so glad there is a place for real journalist on messageboards. All of your observations are echoed in the minds of most of the Tiger faithful.

I agree with Chad Jones' chest bumps being frightening.

If we could take the deep ball ability of Lee and put it into Jordan's body then I'd be stoked. Other than that I swear that we need a running game to develop soon or we are going to get smashed.

Arkansas game is at home this year. (Thank God) It's always a tough game. At least we can play it on Saturday this year. That gives us our regular weekly practice schedule with the exception of Thanksgiving being that Thursday.

Honestly? What I see right now is an 8-4 team. LSU plays in the SEC, not the Sun Belt.

The O-Line and play calling need to improve dramatically. It is evident which plays and formations Jefferson is comfortable in and the O-line will be the key to our running game.

A repeat of a 3-5 SEC campaign is not outside of the realm of possibility. While the defense looked much better - execution wise - I was asking myself how many of the ULL dropped passes were due to great coverage by LSU, pressure on the QB, or nerves.

Neither....LSU got some home cookin and played like crap. Luckily for them, most SEC teams can play like CRAP and stll beat a Sun Belt team. Alabama and Florida, hell ARKANSAS will BEAT THE SNOT out of LSU if they continue to play like this. Florida is the class of the SEC...Bama is far and away the best team in the SEC West. And, yes...that was a safety.

Very good article. Obviously, our team has some issues with its OL and DL. Throw-in the fact that we've got a young/inexp (but promising) QB and it makes things a little worrisome.

All in all, we've got good talent and hopefully we'll have made progress with Miss St., be read for UGA... and be peaking when UF comes to town. This is positive/hopeful thinking but I'm a fan and wish the best for the team. We've got a lot of talent and ideally this will trump the other issues.

safety? yes

ULL TD prior to? WTF

posters are anonymous - why sign on to the tiger rant as an LSU fan and post a 'ROLL TIDE'

Our Tigers are scary good... scary for us fans in underperforming and underachieving and scary for opponents in their potential.

Arguably we had no business tied with bama in regulation last year and still we were there...

A team can only win one game at a time, and can only beat that opponent on the field that day... this team is as capable as any team in the SEC.

This decade, LSU has a history of the extraordinary - we have won national championships, not a national championship, but national championships... we have won ugly - under both saban and miles... and we have lost games in which we far and away had the greatest talent on the field.

I am tired of LSU fans dissing this team but we're family and this criticism and disrespect is in house. As for bama, uf, ole miss and others bitching about our tigers, I join my tiger brethren in a heartfelt

I keep thinking that we are going to get creamed in SEC play until I see what happens when they pull out a play that nobody has seen like when Lee passed to Scott. That was the only pass that he has thrown to RB since last year. The only practice he has had was in practice. So I wonder what else they have under their belt that nobody has seen yet? or is this all there is to the playbook this year. RS has not thrown a pass yet is he or will he before we play Georgia on the road? All this will more than likely be answered in dew time until then they will keep us all guessing including the opposition into what they are going to do when the time comes to use it. I agree this is an 8-4 team at best for now but I am one of the ones that said that they where going 10-2 or even 11-1. They are going to have to show me now what kind of team that they are but I am going to keep on hoping that I was right at the beginning. Show me you can do it, and I hope you can do it. Yes I am Posi-Tiger I will stay one until they prove me wrong until then I will call it as I see it.
Right now I do not see the intensity that I am used to seeing in each and every player. It looks as though they looking for an excuse to come off the field. Before tthey would pick themselves up and keep going now they it looks as though they are looking for some reason to come off the field. I agree with Carl on that when LSU would score it pumped the defense up and they would come out force a three and out now they just set back and let the other team go right down the field on them. That used to never happen now it is. I see these games as practice games when I watch them over again like they are going to just turn the switch on and they are going to what the most of us thought but right now I do not see that happening.
But still I say
