Winning the tourney would be an auto bid, yes. But let's say we don't win it. Let's say we we split the Mizzou and Kentucky games, and enter the tourney @ 18-13, 11-7 in the SEC.

Getting an extra game gives us an extra W, and we'd need every W we can get at this point. Getting to 20 or 21 wins somehow would be huge for our slim hopes.
