When Johnson is introduced as TCU’s 20th men’s basketball coach at a 2 p.m. Monday press conference, TCU administrators and athletic director Chris Del Conte will also tout Johnson’s history of winning.

quote:

“He’s a standup guy,” said a TCU basketball staff member of Johnson. “Chris hit a home run as far as getting a guy who came from a big private school [Stanford], and someone who could recruit the right kind of players for a school like TCU.”

2-2.5 IMO FWIW... TCU had to overpay bc every one of their targets told them GFY. They may not win a league game next season

I really am not in favor or losing our coach at this time, but all I can say is...

Can't blame Trent. Less pressure, more money.

Didn't Trent Johnson leave Stanford on similar terms? They didn't renew his contract, so he had to go somewhere else.

Wow, why would Dixon even look at TCU? That's almost as ridiculous as Billy Donovan to NC State
