Ha! Not getting into details but I know of one person who is a ND fan and he's the biggest pile of POS there is (that's flattering calling the guy that).

I have more than one reason to not pull for ND, and the religion part is not one of them.

Not saying I'm pulling for Bama either.

Sure they are. So is UF. So is UGa. So Is LSU. The difference is that if any of those other named teams play to the same "great level" as Bama, they'll find themselves with 6-8 more penalties/game.

With Notre Dame in the picture no one will jump them per the media bias.

Respectfully disagree.

Every 1-loss SEC team was ranked ahead of every other team except undefeated ND. And even the most ardent ND pumpers in the media had to admit that if ND lost their last game, they would drop below Bama/UGA/Fla. And all would have one loss

Notre Dame was behind Oregon and KSU when all where undefeated. They didn't jump those teams after beating OU and would not have. Media bias is so over rated. So they talk about ND, it doesn't help them win games. They will go no more benefits than SEC teams. Its not 1969 anymore.

Wait.. WHAT???? LSU is NOT playing at a great level right now. Since the Bama loss LSU could have lost to Ole MISS AND Arky. Come on dude. The LSU D has NOT been the same since that last drive against Bama. Think about it.

YES Bama should be called for holding more than they are. BUT............. They COULD call holding on every play if they wanted to. FACT. Bama has the BEST o-line in the country.. Holding or not.

K. Thats a KILLER lineup of teams you just presented.

what? UK and UT were 1-15 in the SEC with the 1 being UT over UK. UGA played most of the bottom teams in the SEC and still was one of the worst rush D's.

quote:

Bama played a so-called soft schedule but BLEW EVERYONE out except UGA LSU and A & M. ND can't say this. YES ND went and beat OU, And needed the refs help to beat Stanford. PLUS 3 OT'S to beat PITT[AT HOME] Come on man. Bama will ROLL ND.

Who cares about Bama blowing out scrubs. It's meaningless. When they had to play good teams, the struggled. So ND had a tight game with Pitt, that happens to most teams. Bama struggled with Ga Soouthern's option last year. Did that matter in the BCS CG? No. They should have lost to Tenn in 2009, didn't matter in the BCS CG then either.

Bama might win, but they won't blow ND out. I'll take the Irish and the points all day long.

There is no way in HELL an LSU fan in the 70's or 80's would have pulled for Notre Dame to win over an SEC team, even Bama. Matter of fact, more than a few bragged about a crappy Ole Miss team, yes, Ole fricking Miss, beating Notre Dame in 76, as proof the SEC was underrated by the media.

I agree with this statement, but we don't live in the sixties and seventies. Memories are short and a one year ND nice season with a lot of breaks will not return Notre Dame to its previous glory. If you ask me, it is Bama enjoying the lovefest.

Just go back to 1993-1998 to find a team that would put this Bama streak to shame. 1993 Nebraska barely loses the pre-BCS NC with one loss, then they win the NC in 1994 and 1995 with no losses. Then they lose two games in 1996 and come back with a NC in 1997. Four losses in five years and three NC with one that many thought that they should have had. That is impressive.
Bama is a close second if they beat Notre Dame. That cinches at least one recruit a year that would maybe come to LSU. Yes, one five star or four star can be the difference. There is a freshman wide receiver on Bama's team that proved that with all of their injuries he could still be a game breaker. A little fellow named Cooper.

1 bad/mediocre BCS team with a new coach that was improving as the year went on at home.

the same as ND's unimpressive win over Pitt, NOTHING.

SEC delusion at it's finest. None of those teams played anyone out side the SEC thats worth a shite and none of them bet a good team by more than a TD. UGA, did get smoked by a good team. The SEC circle jerk is in full effect. They get ranked real high in the preseason. Don't play anyone OOC and then we say they are great based on playing each other and past seasons.
Keep sleeping on ND hopefully Bama is too.

Seem to recall losing a QB to ND after CLM was a no show for the NC ... but, let's give him a raise.
