I think we lost a good one here. I really liked Woley and his play style. I know it's only JUCO, but he's putting up some impressive numbers to be 22 games into the season

What about Trey Dawson, Grayson Byrd, Cole McKay, ONeal Lochridge, Jake Godfrey, and Andrew Mitchell?

Most of it due to 35 man roster
You want to keep bringing in top recruits it's the game that you play now
If you can't win a starting job by your fr or so year, you might as well start looking

Didn't all of those players transfer out prior to the beginning of the 2017 calendar year? Wofford left in January '17, Frederick July '17, the rest of them this fall/winter.

Woley is going to be a stud somewhere, hated to lose him.

Also sucks to lose Doolittle, how impatient can you be though to not even play your freshman season? Wouldn't he have been in the catching rotation? I mean Feduccia was a no doubt starter, plus defense and plus offense.

Coomes and Bryce Jordan cant throw anyone out and got run on liked rented mules.

Auburn or South Carolina is going to get them a mauler for the 2019 season if Woley keeps progressing the way he has so far in '18.

I really think he just didn't want to compete. Like Mac Marshall, he probably got on campus, saw the level of work required and the talent of the guys he was competing against and said frick it.

No. Not most of it due to roster limits. Blaire was the only one told he didn’t have a spot.

We only have 32 on the roster, and 1 guy was added late (Doughty) because Doolittle took a hike on us. IIRC everyone on there but Fredrick had a spot. Makes sense because the 4 of them (Woley, Templet, Doolittle, Wofford) minus Doughty would have hit the 35 roster limit.

ETA kind of crazy we are 3 under the roster size limit, not a place you want to be.

That's not how that happened. Doughty was added last summer. Before Labas, Broussard, Nowak, and Moffitt.

He's committed to Abileine Christian, but he's just not any good. 13.50 ERA in 3 appearances.
