Tiger fans, don't worry about the ticket prices for the National Championship unless you plan on going to see Arkansas play! Hee Hee! See ya' Friday! Go HOGS!!!!
If that happens ticket prices will be way lower. Because LSU fans have such a corner on the market, their would be a flood of tickets available.

Dude, just stop. You're embarrassing yourself. You think OkieLite is gonna bring more fans than Alabama? Sure OSU would bring their fair share of fans, but ask most gumps, they'll tell you they outplayed us 11-5. They'd kill for another shot @ LSU. They'll come to NOLA in droves. Demand will gonna be ridiculously high for a rematch of the "Game of the Century". Not to mention they are a 3-6 hour drive away.

$300 or $350 per ticket.
Please tell me how I get tickets for this price? Every site I have looked at has them for like $1200 for the worst seats in the house.

The fact that they are closer does make it easier for travel. Their fanbase is also larger than OK lite. That means a greater demand. If it was just those two factors I would suggest you would be correct and that Bama would be the bigger draw, you are forgeting the rematch aspect of the game. This is going to way heavily on the price of the tickets, even if they think they outplayed us, they will know defeat is possible. They also will know that they have already seen this game already. Also the national interest will be way down if it is bama.
I suspect a 5-10% drop in ticket prices.
I know a little bit about how the economy works, and I get paid for my assumptions of the market forces every day.
Here is an actual price payed today for the ticket.

I got three tickets in Section 101, Row 17 for $1364.00 a piece. $300 service charge for each as well for a total of $4992.24. What does the rant think? Did I overpay? I felt like the prices have been trending upwards since Sunday night and the longer I wait, the higher they will go, especially after Friday.
In an earlier post I said these tickets would be worth $1,750 It looks like he paid $1,664. Maybe I know a little about what I am talking about. The price will spike after the teams are announced, however it will drop after that, and long before the game.

Wait, the best chance you have it to wait a while, price will go down. That is what people are selling them for not what people are paying for them.

Well, if that's the case, I'll help your decision making out by pointing out that Birmingham is in a frenzy for tickets.
Those packed Spring game stadiums are not crash dummies for the sake of television.
There's a reason that ticket reserve prices for Bama have been doubled that of LSU, and they have less of a chance than LSU to make the game.
Bama fans have more room reservations in New Orleans than LSU fans. I think you're wrong about any significant dip in the price of these tickets.

you don't know shite and you are flat out wrong about LSU-Bama
LSU/Bama will be $1,500 a pop
LSU/Okie St will be $800-900 a pop
DEAL WITH IT

It has to suck to know that even if you win you are unlikely to go to the SECCG. It's irrelevant anyway; your defense isn't strong enough for you to have much of a chance.

LSU Plaza reserves are going for ~$1000 a piece right now as 2 just sold for $998 each! If only the people with Terrace would hold out for more as well!

still cheapest way to get into the game is buy some okie state reserves and hope they trounce Oklahoma. a $200 investment could pay off nicely

I didn't go in 2007 because terrace tickets stayed above $550 - $600. I'd say terrace would start at $700 - $750 if LSU makes it back.

I've been to five LSU road games this year and may get "priced out" of NC game again.
What pisses me off are the "social" fans who go to the NC game after not making ONE home game (much less one road game) all year.
I've always said that I wished LSU would reward those (through some sort of point system) for traveling with the Tigers and for attending other sporting events (i.e. men's basketball).

Obviously you don't understand how sports ticket markets work. This assumption would suggest that fans want to see their team win easily. Fans pay the most to see their team play the best teams. Even crappy teams will have more expensive tickets when the big boys come to visit.
If we play Okie State, people will expect a worse game, but more important is the fact that cost of travel is so much more for them. Most of their fan base is over 10 hours away.

It's all about the $$$$$ brotha. That's the only point system they care about.

They were going for $10 a pop that morning. I would have bought several if I had the money for tickets. I'm regretting not buying 10 now and selling half of them off for the $50+ that they are going for now.
