O heard this from the bf. second hand knowledge. Why isn’t the bf accused of covering up. He did nothing?

He didn’t hear it from an actual witness. Just gossip.

Well, looks like we’ll probably be in the market for a new football coach soon.

Especially since Woodward didn't hire Ed, and know that he fell arse backwards into that NC.

Because the HC is responsible for the entire football program including all of the field stuff. Someone has to take responsibility for this. Someone has to be held accountable for any and all crimes. He didnt report it. He knew something was going on. That makes him culpable. There is almost no way he survives this.

just don't know what y'all want O to do in that situation,

If your player comes to you and tells you the star player raped his girlfriend.

You dont say people sleep with other people's girlfriends and leave it at that.

In the past, yeah. But they are required to report this stuff now. That's why we are here.

It doesn't seem like that's the terminology the player used if that was Ed Orgeron's response. And again, LSU's Dean of Students contacted the accuser and asked her if she wanted to pursue a Title IX investigation and she declined.

If O did hear about a rape and did not report it then that’s on him. But you are ignoring the fact that (or oblivious to it) Miles was the head coach at this time. The player complained to O because he was a Dlineman and O was his position coach at the time.

Linking O to any of this is absurd. They know he makes several millions of dollars a year and are trying to get their piece of the cheese.

It reminds me of a 70-85 year old grandma who worked in the superdome. She claimed she spoke with somebody on the phone about a sexual assault. Allegedly, the guy sounded like he had a frog living in his throat. Based on the sound, she thought it was O.

I’m not aware of any definitive proof that the man with the frog voice speaking with the old grandma was O. If there is smoke, there isn’t necessarily a fire.

Honestly at this point I wish we’d just go ahead and do the inevitable- fire Orgeron and everybody involved. Alienate Guice from the program. Pay the victims. Take our lumps and move on. So fricking tired of how. This. Thing. Has. Dragged. On. And. On. And. On. And. On…

It sucks the joy out of LSU football. And I feel for the girls involved but honestly none of us did that to them but their actions now punish all of us who had nothing to do with that. So punish those who were involved and let the rest of us move the frick past all of that.

Melt off.

The complaint also adds #LSU coach Ed Orgeron as a defendant for failing to report a rape allegation properly.

I’m not aware of him ever striking a woman before.

He has been known to spend time in bed and hot tubs with much younger women though.

"The rape" or the alleged rape?

Either way, this is a side effect of "academic" institutions being so invested in athletics. If we are being honest, only 30% of these kids belong playing in college. The rest should be in a minor pro league for which ever sport they pursue.

Even if there is nothing to this, isn't there a problem when a grown man feels punished by allegations against adolescents because it impacts a game? College and pro athletics have grown far too large and influential in our society. It is bullshite and matters not to people who define themselves by their accomplishments and not the accomplishments of kids who don't even know you exist. Bread and circuses.
