Nah, it would have given Kruger a chance to man with us. Kruger has been around. I wish Tim would have just dished in the corner to Patterson.

I'm fine with it. Wish we would've shot a 3 on the last shot to go for the win though.

I think the new rule this year is that only a player can call time out - coaches can not

That is such a dumb-arse rule. I wonder which jackasses pushed for that?

Personally, I would have liked to have seen us foul them and make them earn 2 from the stripe. Save some time to run a play after calling a timeout.

Do you think we get a better shot than a driving layup if we call TO? It was absolutely the right thing to do. OU wasn't set at all.

That's exactly what I was thinking. With OU being so clutch from the field in the 2nd half and missing a couple of free throws down the stretch, I think I would have fouled really quickly when they had like 8 seconds left. They could have choked from the line and even if they missed it we would have had more time to come down and score.

Then again, I know nothing about basketball strategy so maybe that wasn't a good idea?

CJJ said he tried to get the players attention to call a timeout but no one did. That is on the players, not CJJ.

He signaled for the TO, but ball was in play. Get over yourself.

Methuselah, most people would probably say play defense. Personally, I would always rather have the last shot, and make sure that last shot has the best opportunity possible and not be rushed.

Ehhh I don't mind it. They all converged on tq if he makes a pass someone was open.
Yeah that was on Quarterman. He had two guys open on the left and tried to be the hero instead of passing.

I don't call the TO. We'd all like to think differently, but CJJ wasn't drawing up a play to get a better look than TQ got. Other than Ark. last season, when was the last time LSU got a good look in a end of game situation?

This game was lost well before the final 20 seconds when LSU simply just couldn't get a stop in the last 3 minutes. LSU was lucky to have a chance at the end solely because OU couldn't close at the foul line. LSU wasn't stopping OU on the defensive end when it mattered most.

A large part of being a good defensive team is having a tough-minded attitude. This group just doesn't have it. You can tell by the fact they rarely get on the floor for loose balls. Tonugh defensive teams will fight you every possession. LSU is just not that kind of team this year

And it is so painful when they go through these stretches where they can't rebound to save their lives.

You've got a better chance scoring in transition than on a full court set play. Not rocket science.

This isn't the NBA. You still get the damn ball out of bounds 74 feet from the basket. You can't really draw up a play from 74 feet away and you give them a chance to guard the in bounds hard and make it even more difficult. Anyone who thinks he should have called a timeout there is literally moronic.

The bashing of Johnny tonight after a 2-point loss in which the refs missed several blanket calls, truly shows how much hatred this fan base has for their own.
