Thoughts on moving SEC Baseball Tourney to Louisiana

Louisiana State Legislature making moves to potentially bid to relocate SEC Baseball Tournament to Louisiana...
"Martiny said he brought the change specifically to expand the definition of events for which they money can be tapped because Louisiana may have the opportunity to attract the SEC baseball tournament to the state. The baseball tournament has been based in Hoover, Ala., since 1998, but Hoover's contract with the SEC expires this year."

Wouldnt this be interesting.
I've never been a fan of this tourney being in the same place every year, and would love to see it here.
Thoughts?

I'd assume Zephyr Field?
If so, I'd rather it stay at the Hoover Met.

Would be really cool. Where would it be played? Zephyr stadium?

I would assume Zephyr Field.
It has 10,000 seats, plus lots of standing room available, plus a berm that can hold 2,000.

Hoover Met is just a much better facility.

Is there a rule preventing it from being at the Box?

Play it in Biloxi at MGM park

I highly doubt the SEC will allow it to be played at a team's home park.

I thought they announced last year or the year before they had signed a new long term deal. I like it being in Hoover but mainly because it's easy for me to get to at least every other year.

They better find some place other than Zephyr Field to hold it

Move it to Nashville in their new Minor League stadium

Are you serious? The Hoover Met is very out dated.

MGM Park in Biloxi only has a seating capacity of about 6,000, I think.
Not sure if that is adequate.
I've never been to an SEC Baseball tourney game, but if they played it here at Zephyr Field, I'd go every day.

When was the last time you went to Zephyr Field?

Don't forget Birmingham has a new stadium downtown as well but Hoover is a much nicer surrounding area.
