He can get mad and slam his fist all he wants at the press conference, but the reality is that he cannot prepare a team for a Week 1 game and he has to be damn near perfect the rest of the year just to qualify for an expanded playoff

You guys gave me crap when i told you ND was glad you took Kelly ..
You are starting to figure out the frustration.
He will be just good enough to stay employeed...but kelly will never contend

Jury is obviously waaaaaaaay out on Sloan, but Kelly otherwise nailed his other coordinator hires. This 100% will help with recruiting.

Lack of discipline has been a BK thing. This guy is a joke that we’re stuck with

And LSU is still arm-tackling like a bunch of Pee Wee football players. That is coaching, pure and simple.
If Kelly isn't on the hot seat yet, Scott Woodward sure is.

Never saw the Sark hire happening but it sure turned out to be a win for TX.

Not one coach from his past teams is here with him

Wide angle view, Kelly is doing great building the program.
More narrowly, there were some issues last night & they should have won the game, even though this team was never going to meet the expectations of fans.
The whole Y3 thing is an antiquated measuring stick that ignorant fans still regurgitate for some reason.
Well I’ll be, totally agree LE.

The specter of Saban is gone. Time to win.

Hows that working out...
So here is how its gonna go. He will blame failures on those assistants. Then hire his friends. Show just enough improvement to not be fired, but never really contend.

We are a 9-3/8-4 team and it showed. Probably should expect that going forward. Next year will be a whole new OL/maybe QB and will need WR to step up. Defense who knows but you have to think they won't be much better than this year since the Freshman DBs can't be expected to just show up and start.
Every friggin year it’s something.
Next year it’ll be the OL. Defense will probably be great. Our receivers are always good.

Frank Wilson continues to use Williams and is wasting downs with him. Brad Davis as o line coach is a bust.

I’m talking about just for this year, not overall. AKA looking forward.
Baker and Bo were great hires.

Not one NY6 bowl in his first 3 seasons here.

Where was OM in Kiffin Yr 3? How about TX in Sark Year 3?
We paid a premium so we didn't have to go through all the growing pains of hiring an up and coming coach.
The problem is we hired a coach who already reached his career peak at his last school and was looking for one more big deal to set his family up for generational wealth
