I think I'd be happy if we win 2 games next season ... BAMA at home and Florida in the Swamp. We can lose the rest and I don't know if I'd care. Not that we will ... I mean McNeese????

LSU should be picked #2 in the SECW going into the season... by Novemeber when we play Bama it will have sorted itself out.

I believe LSU will compete for the SECW - and therfore the SEC and therefore the NC.

I don't see that as "settling" in any way ... I think I'm a realist ... if we improve our execution AND coaching we win SOME of the close games we lost this year and IF we get lucky (like UF and Bama did) we win them all and play in the SECCG and if we win then the BCSCG I believe.

But I'll let the season unfold and see what happens --- I do wish our team had the grit and determination that UT showed last night given the loss of their start QB early on.

We have the talent - do we have players with the WILL the WANT of whatever frick you want to call it?

If we have coaching blunders next year and still don't look acomplished on Offense or improve our 3rd down conversion % on Defense --- changes are going to be necessary - but I'll let them coach the season and watch before I say who's fired, etc.

This is not being very realistic.
I get that everyone wants to see LSU win and do well but think this is a little much.

My concern has nothing to do with BAMA. They are what they are. Talented tough and very well coached. Dominant!! My concern is that our program is mired in mediocrity that is a product of weak coaching, poor discipline and preparation (COACHING). We have in just two short years slipped from the ranks of the elite to middle of the pack in both the nation and the SEC.

I think Texas was the better team, to bad McCoy got hurt, that changed everything about the game.

yeah, no one knows for sure what the outcome would have been. But they would have had a much better chance. Hate to see a kid get hurt in a game like that.
