Chris Hilton is deemed the “take the top off a defense WR”. But hasn’t been available. If they are missing that element in this passing game so badly, why not run Watkins on a few routes? Legit track speed. Yes a freshman, but he can run a simple route every now and again?

I know, but I'm not sure that anyone on this board would be able to answer it. None of us have seen Watkins play.

What I refer to as "Elite" Speed is fun and all but the most important thing is route running and catching the ball. Plenty of highly effect receivers that do not have "Elite Speed"...

I can't wait for him to play. He is the next Randy Moss the way everyone on here is talking

All his accurate deep balls are dropped from pass interference. It's weird. But his adjusted deep ball accuracy is as good as anyone in college football.

Zavion is probably faster than Hilton.

Garrett just cant hit the deep ball right now.

For a guy that posts so much, why you gotta ridicule someone with a legit football question?

It's a joke that is made pretty often on this board. He's asking a question about a true freshman that none of us have seen play. I don't know what kind of answer he is looking for.

I said this early in the season and I saw Watkins in game 1 but I have not seen him since. I also saw on a betting website that has injury lists for teams that Watkins is out this week

I've been saying this all year. Just use him as a decoy if you have to.

lmao not even close. Zavion is good WR and a great, shifty return man with good vision, but he has no where near Hilton's long speed.

I think teams are playing 2 deep against us because we haven't ran the ball efficiently. Aggy will do the same. They have a great dline and DB's are the concern. I expect a lot if deep umbrella coverage on 1st and 2nd down. We need to dink and dunk like we have all year.

Zavion was clocked at an LSU camp with a 4.32 40. That puts him right there with Hilton. Jelani Watkins has a 4.37.

It looks like from play design they like Zavion's shiftiness over long speed, but he definitely has the speed to be given more deep routes. Anderson seems to be a bit slower than he was coming out of HS and post injury, but he's night and day better than last season. He had one play vs Ole Miss where he caught a pass beyond the defender and had 2-3 steps and was run down. I don't think pre-injury Anderson would have been caught.
